No, to find people outside the 500 meter radius I use the search function. If they have not made themselves unsearchable it'll usually be able to show people within 5000 meters (even if it's bugged sometimes and doesn't show someone you know is there). Tracking only works within 500 meters.. and does not show faction or if they are overt/covert.

These boards are often filled with posts from players who do not attempt to use strategy.. who simply look at the skill set given to them (any class) and see flaws and weaknesses!
