No, this isn't what you've done at all. You've explained why it's in your best interest, for your purposes and gameplay, to favor CH instead of Ranger for your character. And hey, for what you want to do in the game, you're right. But this doesn't say near as much about the profession as it does about you, your thought processes, and your priorities.

For you the Ranger profession is a waste of skill points, for the most part. You've proven that without wasting a bit of effort of brevity. But not everyone is a Ranger for the same reasons you are.

Well, I still love the camps (although they are not exactly useful anymore). Traps are useful as long as you are not hunting anything big or when you don't have extremely high combat skills. They just don't hit often enough on a rancor or gurreck (which is about the level at which they would start to have some use for me--I can still solo them now but a phenacine or an adhesive mesh would keep them just a bit farther back). I've been finding the camo kits to work really well (as long as I'm only walking) and the crawl speed can be useful when I'm trying to kill some of the bigger creatures that like to move a lot (I ended up following the tusken executioner for about 1.5k while crawling before he poofed on me). But, overall, the stuffs not worth the skill point cost. But I still have fun.
