Ah....gotcha
after reading my post i thought i was a little rough....
While I agree with you that the hologrind is ruining the game, I think that your ideal template, while really cool...it is a bit much.
you would have to
Master Scout
Master Medic
Marksman Carbine line, Ranged Support line
Master Ranger
Master Carbineer
Master Combat Medic
Master CH
This would literally make you unstoppable in PvE and PvP. I havent done the math, but thats a lot of skill points. One of the things I do like about this game is the interdependency. I have friends who are all of these professions and we go hunting. I like hunting in groups better than hunting solo. I understand your frustration, but this template would be roughly equal to
Master Medic
Master Brawler
Master Marksman
Master Rifleman
Master Pistoleer
Master Swordsman
Master Fencer
This template would be hugely overpowered and the owner of this template would cut through rancors like they were chubas.
The game is designed for a balance of strengths and weaknesses. Being a Master Ranger, I am very familiar with weaknesses

OK, now that that's out of the way...

Am currently working on Novice Carbineer 2-2-2-2, Novice CH 2-1-1-1, Novice Medic 3-3-3-3 and Novice Ranger 1-1-1-0. Already have Master Marksman and Master Scout.
33 skill points more to finish ranger, give me a break. How in the heck can a player get those skill points?
Drop master marksman, you're not going to need it if you're already focusing on carbines. Why keep crappy pistol and rifle abilities when you're not using them?
Next, toss CH. Trust me on this, it's not worth anyone's time - unless you really enjoy playing with useless fluffy animals.
Now toss medic except for 0010.
Bam, you're set.
So if I toss Master Marksman it will not remove any added benifits? As for CH, I like and my creatures are not fluffy worthless creatures.
As for medic I need to master that in order to get Novice Combat Medic and then I could drop it if it does not removed the Novice Combat Medic.
Combat Medic or Doctor requires Master Medic

After I gotten Master Scout and Master Marksman I asked around and questioned some the master rangers at the time. They suggested in majority for Master Ranger Template is to do this.
Master Ranger Template
Master Combat Medic or Master Doctor
Master Creature Handler
Anyone of the Advanced Weapon Professions.
Since I like the carbine, decided to go for Master Carbine. At first I thought about commando but then I saw it required unarmed IV and was not interested in doing that. My character which is a bothan does not have enough stats to do melee. I have it for ranged weapons and medic.
It seems like you're trying WAY too hard to combine what's currently a PvE class (Ranger) with a PvP class (CM)
Not sure who told you to master CM and CH - that's not possible (it leaves you with -25SP)

Thanks to those for thier suggestions. Went online (live server) and talked with guildmates and found what I can safely drop and recover skill points.
Kept the Master Scout since it was a requirement for Novice Ranger
Dropped the Master Marksman and all the rifles and pistols but kept the carbines and the ranged support trees. So have recovered enough skill points to get Master Ranger if and when I get there.![]()
Back to the grind....![]()

You misunderstood me on the 250 skill points. The max you get is 250. You said you have 1/250 so you have essentially used your max. Thus you have already experienced that there is a skill point limit. Sure you cansurrender something to free up the skill points, but you do lose the skill..... (It was unclear to me if you thought you get to keep the skills and benefits after you drop the box.)
Good luck with it and I still suggest you check out that character builder.... it will show you how many skill points you can use up where and in what combo.... You will never have Master Ranger, Master Carbineer, Master CH and Master CM at the same time, there simply aren't enough skill points to do anywhere near that.
I myself am Master Scout/Master Ranger/Master CH with just enough points left over for novice Medic and pistol 4 in Marksman so I know for sure you are setting a goal for a template you have no hope of getting.

Yes, it is. A good rule of thumb is that you can have 3 masters and 1 tree in another profession.
Example 1: Master Scout/Master Ranger and the Carbine tree of marksman/Master Carbineer. This combo leaves you with 18 SP.
Example 2: Master Scout/Master Ranger and Master Creature Handler and Carbine Tree of marksman/three boxes in 1 tree in Carbineer leaving you with 0 SP. But most people will say this is underpowered. (I have no experience with CH so I can't say).
Personally I like the skillpoint system. In DAoC I chose to be a warrior and got stuck with that. If I wanted to do something else I had to start another char at lvl 1 on another slot. Now I can drop the parts I don't like or got bored with slowly and level up another profession at the same time. The 250 skillpoint limit is just right. You can get a combat prof with a non-combat prof or specialize in combat and Crafting without feeling a real waste of skillpoints.

"My character goal is to be a Master Ranger, Master Creature Handler, Master Combat Medic and Master Carbineer. Is that too much to ask? Am not interested in being a JEDI. But if there is no way to gain skill points when other player master rangers have dropped their proffession due to the hologrind route then what use is there in playing this game. And if I have to resort to using bug exploits then I might as well cancel my account.
The grind and fustration is becoming stressful. I have enough stress in real life. I like to be abled to have fun in this game but apparenty the devs have made this game a GRINDING HELL. "
You can easily master 3 professions and have enough skill points left over (19 if I count right) to do other stuff. Not counting BH, but they never did count, nor politician, but who wants to be mayor?
So what's the problem? I have a combat class master - Pistoleer, and Master Scout and Master Ranger, Also a Novice Medic, and have 4 skill pts left to play with. Right now I been selling AP, Ranged 1, so those points are unused. Usually I have a medic box filled.
You sure you are not a BH wannabe. Sounds like it to me - I want it all, now.
