it sure sounds nice...but all that you can get by just being a master scout....

bones/hides/traps, even higher lvl medic with all the skill pts you have saved for not being a ranger

i'm one block away from mastering ranger, and i dont even see my self as a super scout....because i'm really just a little bit better than a master scout....

I am master ranger in 3 of 4 lines (all but camping), and pistoleer (10/18 boxes). I solo 90% of the time. With maskscent and good use of root/snare traps i have no problem soloing. I solo on Lok, Dathomir, Yavin, and Dantooine, and my xp is faster than when I group. Yes it can be tough at times - you really have to pick targets carefully -but nothing compares to soloing that red mob for 3400 xp Sure groups can kill stuff faster, but there is more downtime with groups.

Here is how I usually pull. Maskscented of course.

Health shot 1, healthshot 2, (make sure both health shots hit), body shot 3 (about 5 of those),tosssnare trap (make sure it works, repeat if it doesnt), bodyshot 3 (about 4), toss root trap (snare will be breaking soon, repeat root if it doesnt stick), body shot 3 (about 3 of those), toss another snare trap, etc etc. If you get unlucky with traps, or the creature breaks them fast, do pistolwhip to knock it down, and back up and toss another trap.

I cankill yellows reliably this way, and even low reds. If you use a lot of traps you can do this and take little damage, usually though i get impatient and kill it faster with fewer traps.

Anyway, FWIW.
