I've been thinking a lot about the PvP issuesince many rangers don't want to be stuck in PvE only.

Like I said before /conceal against PCs would be great, but I think that traps working on pets is the more interesting idea. The ranger should be the counter to a CH in a PvP setting. This would make us very desired in largeconflicts, without a doubt every PvP group will have a CH!

The fact that we have heard nothing about /conceal makes me worry. Conceal IS our main PvP ability. The Ranger should be far ahead of the group "scouting" out the enemy while remaining invisible to enemy players, thats what an Army Ranger does, that is what a GCW Ranger would do.

I agree with Nerfburger's idea above. Being a former army ranger myself...(the main reason I chose ranger prof)...we were an advanced party used to scout out and find the enemy. Since we moved in small groups we were virtually invisible to the enemy. Without a /conceal or /track ability (much less traps that work against enemy pets...effective traps even) we are pretty ineffective with pvp. At the same time, if we were spotted, we had enough firepower to at least be able to hold our own or extract ourselfs from whatever heat we happened to get in. We by no means need to be the most elite class in the game but a little usefulness in a pvp group would be nice.

On a lighter note...if you need a gorg trapped and a cool camp to chill in afterwards I'm your man!
