Ditto here. I love exploring. I love trapping. I love hunting and harvesting. I could continue but I think the general theme is understood

What's up with that? You're joking, right? You've been one of the rangers that has made this community what it is, at least since I joined up and started paying attention. Have you gone too long without an Auspicious Ranger Moment?

I realy love Ranger. If i didn't have to master scout completely i would still be a Ranger. But i had a hard time selling my goods on a vendor so i dropped it. I'm now BH/Rifle/merchant 0-0-4-0. But i surely will go back to Ranger when the revamp comes about.
But why don't you change the pre requisites earlier. So people who want Ranger but not want to drop other skills can do it too. Make rangers pre-requisite scout 4-0-4-0. that way i can keep my vendors, and master Ranger. This could be done before the revamp or not?

I dont think they are gonna go in and do any coding changes til they go in to drop the whole new profession in. Why go through all that extra coding and testing just to lower the prereqs.? I know it seems simple but any small change in code can cause a ripple effect that affects alot of stuff. They wont make changes til they absolutely have to.

They did it with BH also as normally you had to master both marksman and scout and now scout 4-0-0-0 and marksman 0-0-0-4. But you are probably right. I just want to go Ranging again but without dropping my merchant skills which i worked so hard for. And i am very happy that Ranger is becoming a good profession. In almost every game i am an evil person and mostly a thief. Smuggler comes the most close now, but i have mastered that twice. Now ranger comes close to (or becomes) the thief profession. Oh man i love SOE now.

People keep repeating this over and over.
Rangers are not thieves.
When an item is stolen, taken, procurred, liberated, aquired, picked up, confiscated, it is taken in the context that you have had to conduct a special mission ala Bounty Hunter Mark mission in order to receive this mission.
In NO way shape or form will you be able to steel, take, procure, liberate, aquire, picke up, orconfiscate a personal item from anyones back pack.
Only special items marked in these Special Operations missions can be stolen, taken, procurred, liberated, aquired, picked up, confiscated.
Is that any clearer for the Mr Evil types.
