AgonThalia, Calculus Entropy, and Fred Skinner, in that order.

My preferences are based on how closely their vision and mine seem to be. I respect all three of them, and will support any of them in the position, but this is how my preferences lie.

I cast my vote for Calculus and/or Fred. I can't remember if I've already voted on this thread or not... More importantly, why was this thread on page 2? People, people, apply, vote, let it be known who should be the next correspondent. God knows we're already lacking in attention game-wise, at least have someone that can represent us on the boards.

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

Calculus would represent the ideal ranger. Fair, knowledgable, and mature. While there's many here who could easily fill the roll, and perhaps even more effective ones, I think erroring on the side of good represenation over sheer willpower is the right way

everyone applying to this has my deepest respect, with the current state of our profession and the general ignorance on dev-side I personally wouldn't touch this with a 10 ft pole.

Player Correspondent Opening: Ranger

  • Are you knowledgeable about the Ranger profession?
  • Are you a community leader?
  • Can you objectively identify relevant issues and distinguish them from simply passionate arguments?
  • Do you like organizing information and corresponding with other members of a community?

The Development Team is looking for a volunteer correspondent for the Ranger Profession. Participation is completely voluntary and you can stop helping out at any time. We’re just looking for someone who can help us sort through the various issues for this profession.

Some things that you need to consider when applying:

  • Developing online games takes a long time. Results happen with long time involvement.
  • Player Correspondents should be leaders in their community and set a positive tone.
  • Player Correspondents should understand the technical aspects of playing the profession and the needs of their community.
  • Player Correspondents should be in touch with the communities concerns, understanding the essence of why players pursue their chosen profession.

Please include your forum name in the letter If this is something you are interested in, please write a short paragraph on why you think you would be a good candidate and email it to [email protected]. Please put Ranger Correspondent in the Subject Line. By submitting this email to us, you agree to allow us to contact you in connection with Star Wars Galaxies and agree that all correspondence with and material submitted to SOE will be the exclusive property of SOE and SOE may use such materials without limitation and in its sole discretion.

After we have reviewed the submissions, we will pick one person to be our correspondent. We will set them up with a special community title here on the forums and ask them to help highlight for us the relevant issues relating to this profession.

We will still continue to monitor the forums and read as many threads as we can. The correspondent is just to help us focus on the top issues and community concerns of the profession.

Thank you.
