I would never set off fireworks in one of my high-end camps... they have a roof! Imagine, some dolt waltses into your camp and drops a few fireworks. Next thing you know there's a ball of flame pinging off everycorner of your camp. Eventually, this fireball will strike you smack in the head, setting a flame to the very ranger hat you worked so hard to acquire. Now the ranger hat is a pile of soot and will never stop the kreetles.

/whisper

The roof is a hologram.

/SHOUT

NEVER!!! The ranger hat is impervious to ALL forms of damage! That's why the jedi covet it so.

To this day I haven't lit anyfireworks for that mythical "Hey Beasty" that fireworks are, I couldn't imagine the freakish coding invovled in this and the converstaion before that at the Dev meeting,

Dev 1: "Oh that would be funny..."

Dev 2: "Aye, haha, all those rangers lighting fireworks..."

Dev 3: "oh oh.. lets make it actually work!"

*crickets*

Director: "Hmm... Do it"

*cackling among devs Resume*

Listen guys...how do you heal BF? You /watch or /listen to an entertainer. You CAN'T (and by can't, I mean CAN NOT) /listen or /watch a firework. There are no other instances that autoheal BF, so why would sitting in a camp with fireworks magically autoheal BF? Why would it have taken 2 years to discover this? Why, when we asked for BF healing in campson numerous occcassions, wouldn't they have said that there IS a way to heal BF in a camp?

Oy, talk about wishful thinking!

I heard once that if you stand on your head in the Rancor cave that you can fill your inventory it flawless dragon pearls.
My friend, who lives next door to the estranged father of one of the devs says that if you shout "Jedi!" 1,479 times, you will unlock your Jedi. THis will also give you access to a Yoda skin!

Boy, it's easy to make light of the idea and to bash it left and right, but hey, the concept is not that far fetched. So it may not work, big deal, but if someone wants to test it then let them.

Dropping BF now requires listening to music or watching a dancer. Both "entertainment" type activities. At this point "entertainment" comes from just that, an entertainer.

So what are fireworks? To me they fall into the same category, entertainment. They are just deliverable by many folks, not just entertainers. So to think that lighting off fireworks in a camp could potentially impact the BF of those people in the camp, well to me that is not that far fetched. So it still might not work, but the idea is not that far "off" in my opinion.

I think it's far-fetched because of the coding and because of the gameplay. Okay, you're in a group and you need to heal your BF...do you go back to the city and heal or do you pull a camp and set off a few fireworks? Exactly. Everyone will choose to stay out hunting. Meaning if there was an easier/less social way to heal BF...people wouldn't use entertainers at all.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Ok, since no one has posted a "I have tested this for 4 hours and it does not work. This is what I did:" message, I will be testing this on Saturday around Lunch Time, while waiting for my Armor Attachments from an online auction (Camo and Rescue, baby!), outside Coronet Starport on Bloodfin Server.

If you'd like to watch, or help out by providing the fireworks, then by all means come be a witness to whether or not this works.

The only reason that I am doing this now is that people have only brought speculations of their own to this thread, and not a single shread of hard evidence. Sorry to be so blunt, but it's 2:38 AM here and I can't even keep my eyes opened any longer.

And, I have a headache.

Looking forward to seeing someone there, hehe.

I have tested this and here are the results:

I launched two packages of 20 fireworks withineach fireworks show package. 3 # 1's, 3 # 2's, 3 # 3's, 3 # 4's, 2 # 5's, 2 # 10's, 2 # 11's, and 2 # 18's.

I launched the first one withinmy Novice Ranger camp, outside of Coronet, and second one in another person's camp (the highest scout camp) in the same spot.

I had 3 battle fatigue when I launched the first one, which resulted in nothing. The second launch also resulted with no change.

Therefore, this myth has been tested and confirmed to be nothing more than an assumption which became a rumour.
