Thread: Rangers: If you own a house, how have you decorated it?
If you want to see what a hunter's home looks like, and you can be bothered to come to (or already live on) Radiant, visit Smuggler's Cove, on Naboo. My house is the first one to the east of the Mayoral Estate, which is just north of the city hall (on the beach).
I'm very much a trophy hunter =)
Hi - if you are on Bloodfin you should come visit my ranger shop in Atlantika, Naboo. It's more of a museum to rangering than a shop. Here are some of its features:
- A tent (see below)
- Aldaran Flora
- Beasties in "empty cages" (more about this below)
- Display cases with a jar of sarlac (sp?) bile and a jar of ewok entrails (again see below)
- A polished krayt dragon skull
- The bol skull hunter's trophy from the guy on tat.
- A palm frond or two
If you don't know this - when you drop one of the camping kits we can make in your house, it will look like one of the tents that is part of that camping kit. You can add a vid screen (if they are still on the vendors from the last act) and some torches to sort of replicate one of our camps. Drop some hide and meat resource containers as well, add some plants and it almost feels like you are back out in the wild under the stars.
You can also get the empty cages from Luke from the rebel theme park - he tells you to deliver them to some native, but you can store them in your droid instead and then cart them off for use in your house. You can buy the beasties from any bio-engineer - the cages are big enough to fit most of the rabbit-like critters. If you know a bio-engineer many will be glad to make you cheap critters if you get them the material. You don't want to tame these creatures, just drop the deeds in your house and move them into the cages. For effect I also added a woolmander on top of the cage -- customers like the way he seems to be constantly picking at his nether regions.
The jar of sarlac pile comes from the dath. sarlac pit I think - it's on your poi tab. The jar of ewok entrails comes from the Maurauder King quests - from the witch, specifically. Again, this is not a reward, but one of the quest items, so after you kill the ewok for the mission (I did feel bad about this, but interior design is a higher purpose), you can put the jar of his entrails in your droid and then smuggle them back to your shop. The display cases are droid storage compartments crafted by a DE and called 'A Display Case' - when dropped in your house, they look like shelves.
I've read that the scientist npcs give some sort of insect specimens so I'm going to see if I can get some of those tonight - also on my list is the petrified avian egg that you used to be able to get from the thief npcs (hopefully you still can). I don't have the rori painting yet, but that's another must get item...
Oh yes, there are fish on the walls - imagine a ranger's house without fish!
Maybe I'll post screenies of my shop later-

I also have two houses: a small one between Entha and Taike on Tat and a medium Tat house on Lok.
Both are decorated the way I thinkmy Ranger would live. My front room in my small house has typical furniture and loot, while the back room has fishing equiptment, fish, meat, gear and a bed. My medium house has my fishing gear, furniture and loot on the main level. My prominent display is my Krayt Dragon Skull in the center being polished by my droid. I have a Tusken suit and other loot items around it. My office is off the main room (desk, terminal, toolchests and harvests scattered around), the kitchen is in the basement (crafting stations, storage, armor on display) and upstairs is the bedroom.
AgonThalia wrote:Unfortunately, once the animal is in your datapad, to my knowledge you cant drop it in the house to stand around. I have some disposable income and some BE friends who give me some of their less than impressive creations that serve as decorations. The BE pet is in your inventory until you tame it, then it goes to your datapad where you can use it. If you drop the pet deed in your house, a full sized animal appears and hangs out.
Thank you, sir. That is the first time I've actually seen that explained.
