Thread: Camo kits, too costly to make with too small a benefit
I don't mind that they are planet specific, and I don't mind that only artisans can supply some of the components. The game needs more interdependency between professions to stimulate the economy, after all.
The only thingI don't like about the camo kits is that they don't work as well as they should. I should be able to sneak by just about anything while using one and get off a few more attacks before being charged. I'm finding that it seems to work about as well or worse than /maskscent did before the patch. And of course, creatures are detecting everyone from greater distance after the patch...so in reality it seems that rangers got what I call a "Trojan Nerf". They disguised something bad (less ability to avoid creatures with an added cost of resources) as something good (a cool new ability).I'm hopeful that thedevs make camo kits more effective. The only real use I have for them now is when hunting in particularly dangerous territory where that little bit of extra stealth is worth the cost in resources and to camo members of a traveling group who don't have maskscent at all.
But I'm optimistic. I have no doubt that the Devs didn't really test camo kits well enough, and it could be that they are supposed to be more effective than they are, and will be improved.

I was so excited to get these! I thought that I would be able to walk through Merek lairs and not get aggroed...
Nope. What a joke, I might as well mask scent (for free) for the m'f'k'n' good it did me. Sorry about the anger, but this is ridiculous. Sometimes being a CH/Ranger is fantastic, and then you find out that what you have been trying to acomplish was worthless...

ok, I read all the talk about cammo, but one thing is missing for me (the dumb ex bio eng) , I have made a camo kit for naboo (first one) tried using it several times, and I cannot/ CANNOT use it 
everytime I choose use, it just displays info................ Help someone plse
A rookie ranger will thank you..
you need to get the conceal icon from your alt-a or ctrl-a under other and then use it whatever planet your on.
