He also stated that he doesn't generally post, nor read the ranger (or any other) forum, except for the correspondents forum. When asked about the outdoorsman proposal, he said he had no knowledge of it.

I also am glad you posted this so I can say, thanks for stating that the hard work we have done should be pushed to the back because we've never received an answer on it of ANY sort. Thunderheart outright lied to us, as was displayed in GreenMarine's comments saying he had never even SEEN the Outdoorsman Proposal. Thunderheart keeps telling us we need to provide specific info on this specific info on that, but never reads it or passes it to the people that actually need to see it. Yet you say, "We need to come up with something new!"

Pardon my tone, but how about we have Calculus direct some heat in the Correspondent Forum to TH and have him actually address whats been presented and give us an answer before throwing away the hard work that has been done already, and "starting new". Which brings me to the question, what is it you'd like to present as "new" that we "old timers" have not presented in some way shape or form?

That is certainly something i am willing to do for y'all .

I say he lied because it has been mentioned in more than one thread that Greenmarine was the developer for Ranger, Scout, Smuggler and something else. If he was moved off of it and is no longer that is fine, but that being said, shouldn't the developer that created these professions have some inkling that the Outdoorsman Proposal existed?

The term I used may have been harsh so I will retract it, though I feel that TH no longer represents the community's best interests, rather the Developers best interest and how they appear to us. I for one, would much rather have the truth (i.e. the Devs haven't looked at your proposal yet) as ugly as it may be, rather than political speak ("I love the Outdoorsman and push it hard and often!). To whom no one knows, as it apparently wasn't GreenMarine, who WAS the Ranger Developer. IF GM was/is not the Dev for Ranger why was he the one fielding all the questions at Fan Fest regarding Ranger?

While I think it IS a bit appauling that GM hadn't seen the Outdoorsman proposal. TH hasn't actually lied. Been a bit deceptive yes, lied no. Note that TH never says WHO or WHEN. He never stays he talked with or even showed it to GM. Just that he's "pushed" it when the opportunity comes up. Here's the quote from TH:

I am a fan of the "Outdoorsman" proposal presented by the Ranger community and whenever an opportunity comes up, I have pushed it as an issue and will continue to do so.

Sadly, I completely agree. There has been a definate change in TH's posts over the last several months. The quality and frequency of feedback from him has definately sharply decreased. Some of that is the player bases fault for jumping down his throat at every tiny little think, but much I bet isn't.

And that is a very very good question! I'd love to hear the answer!

I fear that is more true than I want to believe...

I for one, would much rather have the truth (YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!! Someone had to say it..BTW that whole speech is pure gold, IMO) (i.e. the Devs haven't looked at your proposal yet) as ugly as it may be, rather than political speak ("I love the Outdoorsman and push it hard and often!). Oppma (or anyone) please point me to where GM said he hadn't seen the Outdoorsman thread. I am not going to go after anyone without concrete evidence . Also, keep in mind that GM isn't the Ranger dev right now (who is,I don't know). GM is a JTL dev.

Hey Calc, did you miss the post I put up that pointed the smuggler forum? I read from someones post about their events at the Fan Fest. When the ranger, scout, CH group was talking to the devs,a ranger asked GreenMarine how he felt about the Outdoorsman. He said he had never heard of it. So I got ticked off,(you know me when I get riled up) and saw him posting in Smuggler. The next profession he is going to work on is smuggler. So I temporarely hijacked the thread and asked him if he could please take a look at the Outdoorsman in ranger. I pointed out that we have been asked over and over to give feedback to the devs, for months AFTER we worked so hard on that. He actually replied like 2 posts later, that he appologizes, that he had been pulled off of ranger, and was doing chef revamp. Then he got put on JTL, and hasn't seen much of the rest of the game. He said he will look at it soon, promise.

page three Calc. So please please please please push our ideas in coorespondant forum. That is our only outlet to the devs. I suggest start by pushing the Outdoorsman, then as we get our other ideas and great stuff, push that as it comes in. But since we did spend so much time on it, still like, and it's once document for a lot of info from us.

Ok Fred and Ran - when you get as old as I am, you get to be called old...except anyone who tries gets whomped on. I can still max my PT test at the 17 yr old level - if need be.

It is sad when a bicentenial baby is just a young pup compared to other members of this forum! That does, however, speak volumes as to why our community is not full of immature folk (age does not indicate maturity, BUT there isa bit of maturity that comes with age...patience, as well). Now I am rambling like and old man, so I will just hit submit now...

Dude don't retract it. I have called TH and some other devs liars a few times. AND gave precise examples why, and the falsehood of their statesments by quoting other posts that contradicts more recent post of theirs. But I have also had a few replies of mine, that are of that nature, get deleted completely out of a thread. Which just proves to me that much more that I was truethful in calling them liars and non logical developers etc. If my statements didn't hit home, they would not have been deleted. I have stated in a few posts that TH has become a politician. You hit the nail on the head when you said he only brings forth the devs point of view, never ours. He no longer represents US, as we were told he would. He says pretty things, and says them for a paragraph or two, but really doesn't say anything useful or meaningful. Big brother is watching you.

So calc you replied in here again after I directed you to the post where Greenmarine says he has never seen Outdoorsman. But you didn't say anything. Did you see my post. My link is not clicky sorry, I don't know how to do that. But I provide a link to a thread with GM post to me. He at least was honest about it, more then some on SOE team.

I read it. What do you want me to do with that? We know Greenmarine has not worked on Ranger (orGalaxies for that matter)for months. TH said he has showed the Outdoorsman to the devs. Which devs? I don't know. How does a dev who works on JTL not seeing the Outdoorsman warrant action? What exactly are you looking for here? We all want change. There is no way we are going to get anyhting before the CB and we cetrainly won't see a revamp in the next many months.
