So to Flynn, I think the outdoorsman is basicly what you are asking for, a basic fix to the profession if you take a few things out.
I would not give up on anything that was thrown out at Fan Fest. Remember that all the information there came from someone who still thought of Ranger from the pre-Outdoorsman days. The Outdoorsman was meant to change those ideas and it probably would if they ever read it.
