another idea that came to my mind:

ranger should have the ability to get more animals fromone liar - so that ranger become less dependent on solo groups and can harvest more

This may have already been sugested, but I can't find it anywhere so...

I think the 'big game hunting' spawns should have almost 100% protection from all forms of damage except the ranger class weapon damage type. This would mean that only rangers would have any chance of killing them and a non-ranger group would not be able to stumble across one and kill it.

I think a ranger should be able to make a stimpack like object from organic resources. It should not be as powerful as a stimpack obviously, but it should be able to help in a desperate situation. Maybe it could be added to the frontiering branch (to keep with your description of it).

It really is common sense that a ranger would be able to make something with healing properties.

I enjoy Ranger right now. I'd live Ranger with this proposal.

While this may have already been suggested, I think that better than /harvest:trophy, I would like /harvest:componet.

For instace instead of randomly getting armor segments off of a Rancor, you could get 1 off of every Rancor you killed. After all, a trophy would be fine, but how many Rancor heads can you actually hang off a wall?

This would give us Rangers a nice niche in the economy as well. Proabably would have to make it a Master Ranger skill, so dabblers do not pick it up, but I think that would be a nice reward for all that time we have invested in the skill.

Problem here is that rare and random loot such as scales are meant to be exactly that: rare.

Also, since most high-endschematics that require multiple loot (more than one GDK scale for instance) require the componants all be of the same serial number, the loot would actually be useless since you couldn't make anything unless you looted 6 at a time. And if we had the ability to loot 6 items off every creature, all the loot tables would become totally useless since everyone would be hunting GDK for a guaranteed set of scales.

The harvest trophy command would be simply for decoration, as well as something to sell. Much like people collect paintings, there would be a market for rare heads. Make it so that your success on removing the head with no damage was based on Creature Level (the harder the animal, the less likely his head was preserved during the longer combat neccesary to kill it). This would mean you would still have the possibility to loot the high-end componants, but you also got something you could sell. Imagaine if you could get a Gorax head (one in a million chance) do you realize how much money (or prestige) that would bring you? Componants are nice, but I'd rather be able to sell/collect rare trophies from my kills.

I wanna be the first kid on my block with a Gorax head hangin in my livingroom!
