I believe the Hyper Rifle and the LD1 share the same stats. It's mostly a case of which you think looks better. I happen to prefer the LD1, so mine (plus the DC15) are ADK'd and PUP'd all the time. Once I finish finding the last few smuggler slicing parts, I'll likely have them both sliced since bio-linked items can now be sliced as well.
I've got my Hyper Rifle too, but for now it sits in my house with all my other hunting trophies, Kashyyyk weapons and other fun and exciting "loot". Some day I've actually got to decorate with that stuff...

Swing on and a miss bud. The Hero ring is a quest started by visiting the Hermit in the squill cave then completing 4 task he gives you.
Take that back 5 counting the intial task to prove your worth.

a gun and a crate or 2 of pdarts. thats it. thats all thats in my inventory for hunting. well and various gorax bones.

This is a great thread, I wish I had something I could add to it but I'm just learning right now.
The most I can say is seek out good buffs and make sure to use as much kinds as you can, you can both eat and drink remember, and there are some real good defense buff foods out there, I'll have to check names, but I found one that is ranged defense +100 that makes me near invulnerable to npc that shoot at me.

Oh yes, I have a fishing pole, but I don't use it lol.
On Chimaera we have a city on Lok called Commerce City, it has 8 malls and vendor tents as well.
Anyhow, I found a vendor selling 100% fishing poles, that was all it sold, nothing else.
So I bought three poles to show support for and to encourage the owner.
