I'm going against my better judgement here, but I have to know in a train wreck sort of way. What is the HAWT PANT macro and what does it do? And don't even try, I"m already finished my drink so no grinding.

LOL ok you take 4 or 5 different colored HAWT pants and put them in your toolbar, you then make a macro that changes the pants every few seconds. So it looks like the pants keep changing colors.
It is a sight to be seen, kinda like Phe'nix in the punch bowl

I agree very much. I'm working out those details as part of the transition now. I'll be able to make more posts and get more involved once the new hire comes in and I have more time. Currently, I'm exceptionally swamped

Back up folks, my Rifleman side is about to show itself...
Hey, Mr One-Star, explane again how Jedi are a "SIGNIFICANT minority" and I'll show you the Hermits Cave. Minority my arse, by numbers they are now the most singularly populated profession .They are only a minority if you count ALL professions.

Fred, Akkori is a RL friend of mine and a guild mate. He isn't one starring you. Trust me.
As for Jedi being the significant minority, if they aren't already, then they damn well should be.
Good to see TH take some time to pop in here and give us a bit of hope.
Sorry I haven't been around much lately, just been kinda ambivalent towards the game and the profession right now. Still working on the Ranger video when I have time. Though, I may have to get a shot of Calc in hawtpants just for the hell of it. ![]()

No offense, Thunderheart, but you shouldn't make promises you can't keep.
I played EQ for years, was involved with SWG since Beta, and the pattern is all too common.
You came in to be Q-3PO's "assistant" because he was too busy. I knew right off based on prior experience that while you probably had the best intentions, you would quickly get swept into a world of meetings and other things that would leave many frustrated over the "lack of communication". Now, you have Q-3PO's job which will give you another set of meetings and behind the scenes fun and excitement to deal with, which will prevent you from communicating with the community as much as you'd like. You will get an assistant in time, but that person will have the excuse of needing time to "get up to speed". By the time your assistant is up to speed, you will be "promoted" again leaving the community in strained communication mode due to "being swamped".
There is certainly a reality on these forums where it is impossible to respond to every post let alone get to the useful posts through the deluge of off topic and rant posts. It is also impossible to give players an "all access pass" into the development process.
What we need more of, however, is more communication. Not necessarily by responding to every post, but by doing enough to show that you are on the pulse of the community like you are supposed to be. Some people rant because they are just idiots, but the majority are just frustrated and are behaving inappropriately because they don't know how else to get some attention.
Don't tell us you are going to post more unless you are truly going to institute change with the SOE community interaction.
Like I said, we won't see any changes until the middle of next year and this confirms it. This is exactly why we all need to voice our displeasure to the devs. It was bad enough that Rangers were being ignored. Now it's everyone. Sitting meekly in the corner isn't going to get us anywhere.
HAHAHAHAHAH in early 2005 IF we're LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info TH. Any idea on what kind of timeframe for any of these ideas to make it into concept/dev cycle?
This is probably one of the most painful questions I have to deal with on a daily basis. I want the answer to be "well, now" for everything, but it can't be. There are a lot of ways we can make these changes and I am always looking for ways to push community issues with the team.
So really, the answer is, "I don't know yet". In response, what I do is I collect all the proposals and keep them both digitally and on paper at my desk. I have them indexed so that I can reference them and anytime there are design meetings or brainstorms, I bring my notes and put ideas from the community into the mix.
We'll be seeing more community input into things once we get past The Jump to Lightspeed. They might come in patched updates or even in expansion packs. There is no way to see that far into the future. What I do need though is for you guys to get the best ideas to CE (and so forth for all the correspondents) so that information is at my fingertips.
