Thread: Idea for Ranger skill
Or how about a silent weapon for Rangers. Likethe Native people from the early North/South American continent, Australia etc. So that a ranger could initiate an attac with a silent tranquilizer or poison ?
Heading towards the Master Ranger title it realy strikes me that in spiteof our specialcommands the Ranger type stands to much back in fighting capeability compared to other character. Don't want to offense any but i seems like Ranger types are subject to a lot unsolved bugs (trap breaks, mask/camo breaks, occasional harvest breaks) and more or less useles capeabillities like forage!
Rangers Need something new and original !!

But if it were a defense mod, it would essentially be duelist stance, which already exists. You want that, take up BH as your combat prof. My reason for making it accuracy was because, for those of us who master Ranger, accuracy can be a problem. We can't stack to get crazy accuracy like other people can, yet we're 'supposed' to be hunters. I figured it made sense, and I like how duelist stance works, so that's what I used for a model.

Good thinking, bud

maybe a buff that increased speed as well. That'd be very nice.
yes, thats what many rangers that have BH need. and i'm sure Rangers with other combat profs wouldn't say no to more speed and accuracy

True.......unstead of accuracy what about a Creature to hit bonus? yea i realize that we already get a creature to hit bonus but near as i can tell it doesn't count for much.
Oh okay, nowI see where your going with this. I agree, whileI love the creature-centric roll of the Ranger I'd also like to see more of a survivalist roll implemented along with makingthose abilities morecompatible with, and useful to the GCW. Heck if an ability tocraft a groupoperatingposition (like ancamouflagedcamp)for group members, ora /conceal option for turretswere added that would create a demand for Rangers intheGCW.

Because a creature to hit bonus would be one more thing that severely limits our usefulness. A general accuracy buff, however, would be a step away from the 'gated from two-thirds of all game content' status we currently have. Some of us areokaywith remaining creature-centric, many of us are not.Personally, I'd like to seea move away from the creature-centric role, or at least to have that option. Some general mods thrown our way would be helpful toRangers on both sides of that divide (if it can really be called a divide).
