Thread: Creature Harvesting in caves?

I was really peeved last night when I went to talus and thought I could finally collect enough avian bone and meat to make a factory run of camo kits. Sadly, there were NO avian critter on the mission terminals at my level.
With THIS insight though, I should now be able to do some reasonable harvesting in the Giant Fynock Cave! I'll have to test that out tonight and see how she goes.

This has probly been the most stressfull, intense and happy week of my life hehe, been hard to get stuff done.
Begining of the week (tues) i had a hard exam,tuesday was a total blur after a drinking session theni had an interview yesturday for this one in a million internship for my placement year at univercityandigot the job this morning. Also met an amazing girl at the interview and going out on friday which is a bonus seeing as though shes an amazing catch.As you can see, lots of ups and downs.

It looks like that has changed.
Myself and 7 others went to DWB last night. Was the first real playing I've done since the CU went live. Well, we made it all the way to the bottom. we did the mine foreman's quests. we also killed the DeathWatch Overlord and looted 4 jetpack stabalizers off of him. (most likely going to go craft a mando piece and a jetpack tonight).
well, while we were in the mines, we had to deal with the Mine Rats. (CL72 critters that look like Quenkers). as we were killing them, i decided to harvist, just for the scout xp. to my surprise, a 4-0-2-0 scout (me) harvisted 240 units of Endorian Bristely Hide off of those rats. i was also pulling 239 units of wild meat if i did meat instead.
has anyone else noticed that critters in caves drop lots of resources now?

I ha ve experienced this as well. Try using a mission terminal in a player city (if you haven't already, and if you have I apoligize.) The city terminals were only turning up CL 15 missions for me, but the player city ones adjust accordingly to your level.

I guess not. And if so, not for long, eh? 
Yeah, the cave harvesting got changed in beta for some reason. Not sure why, since the 1 unit harvestables were meant to reduce spawn camping, from what I understood.
It may have been changed for a reason.. Not being in beta, I have no NDA (and no idea about kashyyyk), but maybe it has something to do with the new style planet and caves/dungeons there? I've heard of "instanced" locations, so maybe those counted as caves and they didn't want large areas of planet to be unharvestable locations?

unless there will be some in wook-world, there are no instanced places in-game other than the vette, and there are no critters up there.
