After my super-fun time in Death Watch Bunker on Wednesday, and reading up on Kashyyyk, i'm actually having fun in-game again.
Last night i took my first post-CU jedi bounty mission. was an amazing fight.
Oreet (CL64 Master Pistols, 3-0-4-0 BH, 2-2-4-0 Medic) vs. Jedi (CL80)
My probe droid said the jedi was on Corellia at a well fortified Rebel stronghold city near the Rogue Corsec Base. As I was waiting for the shuttle to land in Coronet so i could hop over to Honors Keep, my mark showed up at the landing pad. they had just flew to Coronet. I waited a few seconds, until i saw the jedi move (didn't wanna kill em while loading). After about a 10 minute fight going back and forth as to who had the upper hand, i was really hurting bad. was almost incapped, but i was about 25m from the jedi. i landed a ROOT with Advanced stopping shot just as the jedi incapped me with saber throw. Because the jedi was rooted, she couldn't DB me. so i got back up, healed myself a bit with some Stims, and went back to work. after about 2 or 3 more minutes, i scored the incap and db on the jedi, and earned myself 112k credits, and 7800 Investigation XP (i love double xp week).
i guess the CU isn't all bad, because that Root stuff saved my Rodian butt.

The trail is also a great run.
I personally blame Owen for my staying. I didn't care for the CU until I decided to wander around on the high end mob planets.
Wow. I can use tactics again. I will never have to spam headshot ever. I'm having a blast and though I still believe the old combat system was good and still viable if it's balanced, well...

Here I sit after installing and piddling in Matrix Online and I am left with an odd sad empty feeling. Not just from spending 50 bucks on a not so interesting game.
I have been playing/posting about SWG for so long that I find myself bored with any other game. I dont even want to log in right now and play yet I still feel regret that I have cancelled. Got 2 more days left.
I dont wanna restart my account.
But, I also want to play.. what does it mean!? With bugs and nerfs abounding I just cant make myself play. But playing anything else just doesnt feel right.../sigh
