Thread: Make Rangers a walking mission terminal
Anything that would help us find the critters that we hunt would be truly welcome.
Another question.
Would we be able to give other people missions that we would spawn? or would we keep them for ourselves?
If we could give people missions, they pay us, we give them a mission, that would be a nice little monkey maker for us.
The problem i see with that aspect, is that we will constantly be getting tells from people asking us for missions, and that would get annoying. It might take away our hunting time.
either way, like i said, anything to help us find the critters would be great

I like the Idea of having a mission terminal. I think I read somewhere before about placing a mission terminal in a HTFB. This would cover a couple of issues at the same time i think.

Having a mission terminal in a camp would be useful but I am trying to figure on how to make being a Ranger useful instead ofjust camps. The modular theme for camps has more than enough merit to get it thru without necessitating a mission terminal.
But, can you imagine this...
Blah tells you: Your a Ranger right?
You tell blah: Yeah.
Blah tells you: Pull out a camp so I can get more of those 12k missions.
You tell Blah: I'm kinda busy....
Blah tells you: You suck! Learn to play your profession better. Your just here to help us get missions....
You get the idea... I wont say having them in camp is bad idea but I would bet headaches aplenty would be found on planets like Dathomir where people are just grinding cash/xp all day.

LOL I see your point.
Maybe we could just charge them to open a camp so they can get their mission, something similar to Doc's charging for buffs. I mean it cost us time and resources to make the camps to begin with.

although I like the idea of the mission terminal in the camp, that might lead to a very passive existence. While the doc sits and gives buffs, rangers (i think) tend to be on the move a little bit more.
How about we tie the HTFB into the proposed /track command and finally put that radar dish to good use.
Rather than missions, the HTFB is the base of operations....
Here is the idea.
The HTFB is a modular camp, we add a module that allows us to spawn creatures, lairs...whatever. We use the radial display on our control panel to spawn or search for specific critters (critical failures bring unexpected and potentially deadly results in terms of unwanted swarms of animals
The radar dish hums, and we get a sys message saying that critters have been found. We use areatrack to find them and off we go hunting.
This is what I would like to see.

Maybe it's a combination of both.
