Wow, never caught that either and I've been a ranger for almost a year now. Good catch. But does my idea have any merit though?
Im not sure if i'd like that idea, assuming that non scouts have no way of pulling creature destroy missions at all. Killing Nym's Guards and Marooned pirates are all well and good, but gets monotonous after a while. It's nice to kill creatures too, if for no other reason, just to see some of the amazing looking creatures in this game. The Gurks are by far one of my favorite creatures in the entire game, they make some of the best noises of any creature in the game. and you can't forget the pharples either. i want a pharple pet.
as you can see, i spend a lot of time on Lok. my city i am the mayor of is located there, and it is always a great spot for organics. when hopped up on the veghash, you can harvest over 700 units of leathery hide off of one kimo, but now i'm getting off topic.
anyway, i'd like to see a mission terminal revamp. one where we can specify for the terminal to only show creature missions, or npc missions, and also have difficulty tabs so that we do not need to get into a solo group. it is a pain when myself and my BE friend go out to Endor for Merek DNA, and we need to group with anyone we can find in the outpost in order to pull the missions, even though i can solo any of these missions on my own. so i think that a system where we can sort missions, and only see certain types of missions of certain difficulty levels (no matter our group status) would be much more beneficial to the game as a whole than only letting scouts/rangers pull creature missions.
although, solo groups can be fun at times, like when you're running Janta missions it's nice to have someone to talk to. i usually only resort to the Janta and Mokk missions when cash is really low, and i have some big expense coming up.
Lairs and critters give MUCH better XP than NPC's. People dont grind out their chosen profession by doing Faction missions, or killing pirates. They go hunt Quenkers, Pickets, Tortons, Gurks, etc.
