Ok how do rangers do this?
- They use the tracking skills learned as part of their profession.
I need this hermit quest bagde
- No, you would like to have the badge. You need air, food, water. Everything else is just 'extras'.
and was wondering if I have to find the bladeback boar first then they can tack it
- You might want to go think that one through again. If you've already found it, why would they need to track it?
or and ranger can just find were a spawn is anywere?
- No. We can only find the spawn where it is. The quest spawns tend to pop up in particualr areas. there are some very good and clear guides which give you an indication where to look on the Game Guide forum. A ranger might, and only might, be able to go look for it instead of you going to look, and then call you in for the kill. Trust me, it is MUCH more rewarding to find it yourself.

- This is not a trade forum, see the sticky. If you are looking to hire, you would be better looking on your galaxies trade forum or on planet chat to find a ranger who is looking for this sort of work. Expect to pay a lot for the service. If you take time and go though some of the posts onthe forum here you will see that 200k/hr is not regarded as excessive.
You are asking somebody to do a potentially boring and repetitive task for you, using up time that they could be more profitably employed doing those parts of their profession that give them valuable XP and credits.
So as not to come off as overly disgouraging, a little advice. When you log out at the end of the day, try to be in the area where your target normally spawns. Get online as soon after a server reset as you can. That way you have an incresed chance of being 'in the right place at the right time'. The Moisture farmer in particular seems to have a penchant for wandering away form his spawn point if he's not found quickly. The later you are in getting there, the further he could have wandered.
Good luck, and happy hunting,

Rangers can track the boar; I tracked the one I got for my attempt at the hermit quests. We do this using our /areatrack command. Please see the stickies at the top of the forum for more info on tracking. Rangers charge different amounts per server.

Be expecting a form letter and recorded calling from my corporate HQ asking for the sum of $400 for a new monitor and keyboard for the Tampa, FL office. Said articles were sprayed with Coca Cola and ceased functioning.

I vote JB for Ambassodor of Crankytonia, and I think Almagil should be the President of Stupid-People relations. It's obvious about JB...but I think Almagil has shown that he can be both respectful...and deceptively cutting in his replies. Almagil can insult you to your face and have you walk away talking about how great an experience it was and how nice a person that Almagil is.

Maybe we can get him to do some kind of weekly strongbad ranger emails for us. What do you think?

I'm disturbingly proud to be described in such glowing terms... perhaps my moral compass is faulty? Or maybe I'm just naturally sarcastic?

Little story by way of contribution to the original question.
I'm a Ranger on the Farstar server. I decided yesterday to try these hermit quest things and so found myself tracking in the desert looking for the Boar yesterday.
Firstly, as others have said, there is very good wisdom online as to giving you a rough general area for the boar. Suitably armed with the waypoints and adding a few of my own to provide an approx 2.5km square grid north west of an NPC town called Red Valley on Farstar (remember it won't be there for you if you're not on Farstar), I set off.
Firstly, there'sa helluva lot of tuskens in that area so be careful. If you get a ranger to help you, ask them to give you a camo kit to help ease things a little bit on the conflict front.
Anyway, I found the boar in the nw corner of my grid. Killed it, got the trophy. I watched as the boar respawned two or three times, so I then put out a call via planet chat and helped two other gents to come and kill it too. Didn't ask for cash but got a tidy bank tip from one (and the other is a good friend anyway).
I guess what I am saying is to encourage rangers out there that if you do happen to find yourself doing this quest for yourself, do set the bush drums beating by putting out the information so that other lucky souls can take advantage. Consider it your good deed for the day!

Absolutely! I don't think there's a ranger on the boards who, if they happened across the boar or knew there were a couple of 'spare' spawns after they'd found it for a client, wouldn't either put out a shout on Planet (if only to stick up a camp nearby and watch the stampede) or, as in my case, send out a /tell to a few interested folk (and THEN hit Planet, lol)
For all we grump about the endless stream of Hire tells, for the most part Rangers are community minded and will go out of their way to be helpful.
