Thread: Best House for Hunting Lodge?

With the upcoming publish that adds much needed space into houses, I'm curious what everyone thinks makes the best "hunting lodge"?

I'm thinking of setting one up for myself (man I'd kill to have a specialized Ranger "hunting lodge" that only Master Rangers could drop on the advanced planets. I do most of my hunting on Endor, and that'd freakin rock).

I was thinking a Large Generic Planet would probably be nice, now that it'll have the added space inside. What do you guys think?

I plan on putting a medium naboo on some lake just not sure yet. Using a medium naboo gives you the frontdeck onthe second floorfor being able to sit outside and watch the world.

Now to find a lake that isnt overpopulated and would be good for fishing

I just set up my little estate on the north shore of the large lake about 4km south of Kaadara on Naboo. It's removed enough to have little traffic (at least on Ahazi) and the lake is 4 star, no vegetation fishing.

I'll have to check that out. My current town is on Dantooine so i'll be building this on some other planet and right now that means Naboo, Corelia, Talus or Rori. Id build on Yavin if i had the option.

Now theres an interesting idea with the thought of ranger hunting lodges what if we could place them on adventure planets like Dath, Endor, or Yavin?

I'm using a Medium Tat. for my Hunting Academy. They look "rusic", unlike the Nabooian ones. Thus, they kinda look Rangery. I like that. Plus, they have a deck, too. In fact, it's bigger than the medium naboo deck.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Theres rustic and then there are homes made of clay and mud. Just something about the tat homes i've never liked. But then to each his own. I had thought about just using a Naboo round since they can be dropped almost anywhere and since this is a hunting lodge and not a home you get the benefit of it being nice and comfortable.

Personally i think Tat Guild Halls.

Ive had one as long as i can remember and im buying a new one soon once the changes hit TC. Honestly you cant go wrong with them.

They have a huge living room, 2 rooms upstairs, a rooftop terrace for looking over the land, 2 large rooms left and right of the living room, a store room on the ground floor. Then theres downstairs, its a house in itself. Man rooms along a T corridor that can house every possible collection, reward, creature etc.

Now that they will have a 400 item limit i can start decorating for real and make it like i always wanted.

I have a Large Naboo house atm by the river about 4km from Theed. With the new changes and the number of rooms inside I can have a couple of different trophy rooms if I so like. I even have a Tatooine trophy room atm. May not look rangery but the layout is very nice for displaying loot and such and I have a great view of the river from my tarrace.

Edited: A ranger specifiec hunting lodge would be cool though, but I would think of those along the lines of the High Tech Field Bases and not a permenant place of residenced if you get my drift. Small houses on each of the planets would work as well if that's what your looking for.

For 2+ years SOE and LA have taken our money to create a new game called SWG NGE instead of fixing the game we purchased. Remember that.

I agree with the Bothan. Medium Tatooine house would be best. Once the housing changes go into effect, you'll get to put 200 items in a Medium Tat house. it's very rustic looking, and looks like somewhere i'd gladly call home. in fact, oreet lives in a medium tatooine house in the town i am mayor of.

I'd have to go with the Tatooine Style Houses.

I've got one Medium and one small that I use.

I've turned the Medium into my Ranger Cabin (which is nearly complete!! Woo Hoo! I need to post the images soon) and it's purely decoration. I like them because of the softer edges... the mud/clay aspect of it appeals to me. Throw in a lot of torches and it can be downright rustic pretty quickly. Plus I like the two open rooms in the front and then the "Bedroom" up top, the "basement" and the alcove by the stairs is neat.

The small Tatooine House is my "storage shed"... lol.

Used a small Tat (can't remember which floor pattern but they're pretty much the same) with an "office/shop" up front, then, in the back room I had a Hunters "temple" set up.

Bol and krayt skulls forming the entrance, then a square fountain sunk as low into the floor, two bantha deeds, gong, torches... Ueah, okay, it was going a bit Apocalypse Now.

Nest time out I had a bantha shrine down in the basement, same two old bantha from above, gong, skulls, torches, plenty of shrubbery, some of the little black footstools...

Looking for a medium generic next. Have home, will travel.
