Ranger Archive
Thread: Why did we get completely looked over in Publish 19?
For that my fellow Rangers, I salute you! /salute
This publish was for smugglers not Rangers.
Fanfest Smugglers get fixed first, then Rangers get addressed.
Just relax, breath deeply, now go back out in the wilderness and kill something you will feel better.

Best. Advice. Ever.
BTW Rolfie, something seems to have been "fixed" on Lok... either that, or I'm having a LOT better luck. In a couple hours last night, I found about a half dozen wild spawns of GDKs, most with 2 or 3 kimos there that respawned at least twice. Ended up with a TON of good bone, plus a few sets of armor cores AND some GDK scales! I laugh at the Kimo Town campers now, Ha ha ha! From the river that runs to the west of Kimogilla Town down heading SE towards the volcano, the entire area was just crawling with wild spawn. I hope it lasts, that's how it SHOULD be. I was having to kill lots of random stuff just to clear areas for myself to rest in or retreat too if something went wrong... IMHO, that's how it should be. Very much fun.
... also, from what happened to Jedi, do we really want more attention?
Master Ranger grants full battle armor mitigation.

Increased Battle Armor mitigation. Reason = we dont have a weapon to ourselves so we might as well have better defences.

We can solo, you just have to be very, very careful. It might also depend on your other combat prof too.
As a Master Rifleman, I find if I pick mobs at my level or below, I can handle them as long as I make sure they aren't a group arggo mob (apparently the only way to find this out is by experiance... the examine command might have told this info before CU, but it's pretty much worthless right now). If you have a pet of any kind (or a droid might work too...) you can sometimes send it in to attack a critter once, then call him back, just enough to get the critter you want to hunt away from the mob and headed tword you. This works best if you're either a rifleman, or have one of the longer range carbines or whatnot, or you can use the same tactic on your own with a long range weapon. Also, use cammo/masksent to help avoid the attention of whatever you're not shooting at.
But it doesn't always work... boy do I miss the old pre-CU concealshot.....
