Thread: Any tips? I'm almost there.
I have mastered the wayfaring, tracking, and advanced trapping disciplines. All that remainsare two skill boxes ofthe wilderness survival discipline. I've just acquired the ability to create Field Base Kits but am beginning to wonder if it might be better (and cheaper) to continue creating and sitting inHigh Quality Camp Kits. When does the FBK max out with one person? When does the HQK max out?
If anyone has any tips, I'd be much obliged. These last too camping skill boxes are an extreme pain. I need 100,000 camping XP until Master Ranger and I don't enjoy sitting, doing nothing for hours... I can't practice create camps either -- it doesn't give me any XP for this.
I maxed outFrontiering II - IVof my Frontiering boxes in one day. It just takes some time and resources and alot of dedication. But its welllllll worth it to have it out of my way. I dont have to worry about it when im about to learn Wayfaring IV or Huniting IV and then getting my master.I hate waiting on the last tier when doing professions. You need 100k exp. Actually, when i was doing it. I didnt have anyone sit in my camps for that long.
I Just made a camp sat in it for 15 mins. I got about 4% of my survival exp from sitting in camp. I got most of it from crafting them. Crafting Field Base Kits, which you can now, gives 178 Exp with practice on, 170 without. You would need to craft 562 field base camps. I had 4 crafting stations going at a time. I Could do them in 7-8 seconds each, and 10 at the max. Just at 10 seconds for making a camp, I could get 1068 Exp per minute. That is 95 minutes if you do it constantly. Thats only an hour and a half. If your really speeding through it at 7 seconds..... you can get done in a little over and hour.
The only hard part about this is it cost a a lot of hide/bone/metal. But, if you can get that stuff, then this tier is the easiest tier in ranger imo. Not couting trapping which just isnt fair ![]()
Same deal.
I'm not receiving any XP for creating any camps, traps, etc.
As for not gaining xp for crafting camps, I don't know if that's a recent change or a new bug. I was receiving it just fine, but then again, I also once lost 70 xp for a camp.
Well, I'm sitting in a camp (in-game, of course :smileytongue
as I'm typing this, and I just checked with one of my neighboring campers. He tells me he's able to gain XP from creating camps in practice mode. He's sitting in a Multi Camp Kit, if it matters any.
I guess I'm bugged with two more skill boxes of camping to go.
Ugh. Wonderful. ![]()
Well jsut incase you didnt know this, im not sure if you do or dont, but when you craft a camp, there isnt a message that pops up saying you have gained (XXX) Wilderness Survival Experience. It shows up when you go to your skill boxes.
If that isnt the case, then you must just be bugged sadly to say. I recieved survival exp from everytype of camp i made.

You know... I could have sworn I checked that before. Hehe. Thanks a bundle! Now to stock up on resources.
Last nite, the poor little TKM on her way to holo BH was camping right outside of town.A BE and Iwandered in and proceeded to duel one another, and heal in her camp. The CM about to master wandered by and leveled healing us, in her camp.
She was maxing camping xp in 11 minutes, tops, with 4 of us. More people heard the noise and came over. Camp max dropped to 8 minutes. The holo Entertainer came by, some of went to the cantina, and he leveled healing our BF. We set up a round robin - go duel, heal in the camp, heal in the cantina, go duel. The shots and insults were flying, I honestly was laffing too hard to fight (no unarmed and me with a sword, a sight to behold) but no matter, no DBs anyhow.
Upshot, get bodies with ya, make it a fun thing. We had the scout level in camping, the CM master and the entertainer filled two boxes, and everyone had a fun time. Grinding, heck no.

FISHING AND CAMPING!
Not sure if I'll be able to reproduce this again, but just a little while ago I was at the oasis on Tatooine (SE of Anchorhead, SW of Mos Eisley). Anyway, my plan was to camp and fish. Well, we know it's tough to stay in the camp and fish at the same time. What I did was to step up to the shoreline, since there's not a real big drop into the water, and setup a camp.
What this did was to create my camp just slightly underwater. So now I could fish IN MY CAMP! Didn't have to worry about my camp getting abandoned or anything like that. Even once I caught the fish and ran to the bobber I never had to leave the camp.
Hope this helps if you can pull it off.
