Thread: force sensitivity ranger style
Relax, if I remember correctly they have 6 weeks between publishes, so 10 to 12 weeks before p10 goes live. What they've pulled out of the files clientside is just the first rough draft. I'll hold my judgment and suggestions until Calculus posts the stats.

What a waste of opportunity. +5 to foraging.. excuse me while I wet my pants. lol. Do they really think anyone forages? I agree finding the fishbait faster will be great but get serious. I had really hoped they would bring about something better with force sensitivity for all players. Really disappointed with this.
Well, many people use forage to stick their butts in peoples faces...maybe the +5 allows them to actually moon the person, too

Are these the force sensitivity skills that take no skillpoints? If they do, they're no use too me, Ill stick with my CH 0300 so I can use my Hunting Kusaks, but if they dont....hmm, I might actually consider becoming a proper Antarian Ranger..firing my rifle at the speedcap without spending 3 million on skilltapes sounds interesting....
The webpage shows them as taking up skills. This does not mean that they will necessarily do so. We will have to wait another 8 weeks or so to see what it is like on a live server (along with the Combat Balance). I know that I will be dropping my CH skills if necessary to get these as soon as I can. But I don't care about the speed ones. Just remember that all this will be after the Combat Balance so the extra skills might be more or less powerful than you think.
who knows... after the jedi revamp /foraging may be one method to find force crystals... mm... i seriously doubt it though...
but on the same token, how useful is that +20 to surveying really?...

Everything I have heard says they have their own set of skill points so you can mix and match within the Force Sensitive trees (NOT the Jedi trees).

The main reason the +20 surveying is not that useful is because of the skill point costs listed. At 4 skill points, an artisan is better off taking surveying 1. If the skill points listed are wrong, then +20 surveying would actually be useful to those crafters that mine their own resources but don't waste skill points on surveying skills. Some skills are really a lot more useful than they might seem. Take the following example:
Joe Jedi decides to be a Light Saber Master. They want the absolute best lightsaber possible. Now, assuming that they can use more than 10 experimentation points, the crafting experimentation tree is likely to be the most useful Force Sensitive skill set for them. Yes, the melee and ranged defense would also be quite nice but you can get a lot of that out of the Jedi trees as well. Admittedly, if they let you drop trees and change them around, the crafting tree would only need to be picked up when you craft a new saber.
Some skills will have a suprising number of uses for sneaky players and most of those skill trees will likely be balanced out a bit. Wait for them to really finish the system before complaints start rolling in.
