Lol forgot text.....

Anyways, recently I noticed that Squad Leader was getting an update with publish 24 to make their skills more useful. Any word on our "revamp" that might consider skill point reduction or added skills to benefit for being the costliest profession in game(non-jedi). Or anything on the many great ideas some of the more active ranger types post within our humble forums.

Its the surprise thats worrying the most Im sure. Not that the new SL changes are entirely bad, but more that they were garnered without any real imput from that respective community. Hopefully now that the issue is on the table they will listen to what the SLs themselves have to say about it, there are some good ideas already presented on the subject and time will tell if the devs alter the plan a bit to make it so. Hopefully when the time comes for us they will also be kind enough to let us get a gauge on our new and improved role and comment on it before it gets hoisted on us.

A little birdie whispered in my ear today, that a post concerning the future of our profession would hit the promised land, beyond the borders that we ordinary posters can't pass...

There is difference between anger and jumping the gun. Being a ranger for a long time... constantly being put on hold, having to tell my firends "No sorry I can't pvp cause I am a master ranger" "no sorry I can't do the corvette with you cause im a ranger" etc... has made me pretty bitter too... I try to direct my energy where it belongs... in texas and california... where the devs are still trying to "deciede" where we belong in swg...

Yea I am angry but not at you guys...

Well, I'd disagree that I can't do those things outright as a Ranger. I DO do them,it's just that the 140SP invested in Ranger were all but pointless to me when I solo'd the Jabba Vette destroy mission (that's right, you heard me, post CU, Ranger/Rifleman, solo'd the vette destroy mission - sure, it's one of the easier ones, but I did it. As a Ranger.

My issue is, and will remain until it's addressed, that we invest a whole lot of SP to be a combat support / combat self-enhancing type profession, and don't see a blessed ounce of benefit from it as soon as we move off of targetting a creature and instead target an NPC or a Player. That just doesn't jive with every OTHER combat profession or combat support profession in the game.

I thought froo froo drinks were reserved only for the Blue Glowy Isle....odd.

btw, Pappi...love the "stupid people happen" links. Personally, I'm blessed with a very long ignored list. Though I did one time have a person follow me around for about 20 minutes once, not saying a word...until I realized that they were ignored and saw they were /yelling what a rude jerk I was to everybody because I didn't want to areatrack for this guy...

funniest part was that the guy was AFK /following me with this macro on. so i popped my speeder out and drove around Mos Eisley, and got him snagged on a building.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

froo froo drinks can be enjoyed by all, we just like them extra on the glowie isle

it's sad, really... amusing, but sad. here's another example of a sad customer encounter. I have so many people on ignore that (as I often say) my client lags every time I access my ignore list. I've had several incidents where people couldn't reach me because they're on ignore. I only wish my tent ban list could hold more, I have to start taking people off to put others on

today I had a guy who was asking me how I got into the village without mastering a combat profession. *sigh*... I'll have to post the chatlog, but it's on another computer.
