We cannot give up ANY scout abilities without affecting our own.

So I am against, I would rather see them implement some sort of combat skills INTO our own existing trees.

Very against it, I'd much rather them make our skill points worth it, rather than just give us some back. So I could what? Being a medic? Bah!

I'm also against this for a few reasons.

1. We need scout traps to get by with our own. I don't know about anyone else, but Adhesive Mesh saves my tail sometimes.
2. We need the terrain skills (obvious reasons)
3. We need the hunting boxes (obvious reasons)
4. Camps are right now useless to most people, not to be...I think we need the basic camps to use our enhanced ones later. If we can't put up a small hide tent, how do we expect to build an encampment.

I use the scout skills a lot, so I feel we need them all. I would rather the devs enhance our class a little more.

I personally would like to see the skill requirements stay the same. All 4 trees can easily be made fun and useful with a bit of work. I would much rather get that bit of work instead of just getting a few extra skill points.

I've heard that they're going to reduce the Scout requirements for Bounty Hunters, giving them 32 extra skillpoints to play with so they have a better chance against Jedi.

Actually it's 48 extra sp. Granted while I love being a Ranger as my character Gout, my character Septic Tank is a bounty hunter. The only really good scout skill for a bounty hunter is terrain negotiation so that's why exploration 4 is going to be the only skill tree required for bh, giving bh's a bit more sp to place somewhere else to get some defesive/offensive points to help out.

There would be no point in reducing our necessary points...

I am quite satisfied with the requirements of master scout for Ranger. I seems to make the most sense to me. Just as I am sure that many doctors understand the requirement of master medic for their profession.

I'm with the rest on this. There are no other skills for us to give up. Everything that is in scout, carries over to ranger. If they were to reduce the skill points for ranger, they would have to do it for doctor, since they have very similar pre-reqs.

Just another thought...instead of reducing skill points, what if they branched off more 'specialized' elite professions from basic scout. Similar to what they've done with brawler, marksman, artisan, and entertainer. There could be a Master Wayfarer, Master Hunter, Master Trapper, andMaster Frontiersman.

....

....

Nah, that's a stupid idea. I like all my ranger skills and wouldn't give them up for the world

I am very very very against that sort of thing for ranger.

1. that change for BH was a quick fix to get them the points they need "now" to fight against the jedi. The jedi have already gone through all their combat balance changes as well as a total revamp. The BH have neither.

2. The BH is a pure combat profession with totally different mindset and needs/uses then a ranger. I thought it rather made sence for them to get rid of those skill lines in scout. Even when BH gets its revamp and gets fixed etc and after CB, I think they should leave the scout skill requirements with just Exploration. They don't harvest, they don't camp out, and they don't use animal traps on their humanoid marks.

3. Lets not make ranger less just so we can spend more points on a non ranger profession. For BH to spend the points on other combat professions, as most are doing, just adds the already combat oriented BH. Rangers are not a pure combat profession. We are a support class, and the masters of the wild, masters of the hunt....for animals. We just need to be made so. I would rather we keep the requirment we have now of master scout, and just get a revamp to make ranger worth all those points. Make it so we actually dont mind spending all those points on ranger. If we lesson the requirments, you may as well just get rid of ranger completely. It won't be worth the same, and it won't be worthy of a great awesome stuff with only 2 skill lines in scout to get it. It would probably end up just being a lame upgrade to scout, and who wants that?

4. As someone said, you can't remove scout lines without effecting ours. Wayfaring builds on Exploration, Tracking builds on Hunting, advanced trapping on trapping, Frontiering on Survival. They go together.

Leave ranger requirments as they are please

I would have to say that I'm also against lessening the requirements for Ranger. but all my arguements have been said before in the previous posts. just make the skill points we've spent on ranger mean something, that's all we want Devs.

Im against more skill points as well. I've gone slightly insane, it would seem, and I've somehow managed to convince myself that rather than fix us, one day they'll just give us our FSCS with a full set of premium pearls with perfect stats. It's so much easier to just believe that then it is to accept the truth. /blankstare

I'm agaist reducing our points. Having Bh not need as many scouting points is fine by me. I see them finally going thier own way. I would only like to see at this point all that we have work the way that they should (Traps, Camps, Camo, Tracking)

I'm with everyone else in this matter. Keep the skill point requirement the same, just make the points worth it.
