Thread: where is your house?

if you're like me, your house is 5km from any sort of civilization. my house is 5 clicks north of narmle on rori(on the south edge of that big lake. beautiful country), yet only about 100m from some mineral harvesters. dumb harvesters wrecked the beauty of the land. oh well. i use my house as a hunting center before i go out. i'll hunt for a few hours then make the long trek back to the city.

I have no home.

I'm a Ranger.

My home is the Wild.

BTW, I'm lazy and I don't want to dabble with maintenance fees

my house is about 2.5km west of Kor Vella on Correllia. it's placed in a nice little bend in the river (5 star fishing btw ) with golden grassy fields all around it, and nice deciduous forests on the other side of the river. luckily there are no pollution-spewing factories or harvesters tearing up the land nearby. my house is mostly just item and resource storage for me, since there's nothing worthy of hunting on correllia. nice spot though, close to the mountains AND the plains. hehe i had to travel for hours looking for a spot that was fairly close to a city (i like being in the wilderness, but when i need something from my house it's a real pain to walk more than 3km) while still being isolated from other people's houses and shops. i ran across a lot of great spots, but had to turn them down because they were too close to other people

My house once was a little over 3k from Tyrena, just a small house. Now, I have a medium house on Naboo in the player city of Asmara (just south of Keren). I wanted to have the amenities of being in a player city, so I built close to the city but on a hill. I have a lovely view of the trees, the river beyond, and if I look closely, the city of Keren.

My harvesters are 'round the back of the house. I use my house to hold my resources and my way-too-many clothes. Strange how, in real life, I hardly buy clothes.

My hut and farm are at the very scenic oasis in the Northeastern corner of Tatooine. I like being able to bring tons of Tatooinian fish into Mos Entha on market day.

It's a nice place to stage krayt hunting trips for big-game hunters.

House? No house here... Even if I had one, I doubt I'd ever stay in it for even short periods of time.

I wish I had a house, so I could do something with all these dead fish in my backpack, but I'm not sure that my income would be stable enough to keep it up as a ranger. I'll be getting rid of my survey skills pretty soon, so I'm going to have to live on hunting somehow, and still buy shuttle tickets for any exploring I want to do, plus stimpaks for my pets. What if I bought a house and furniture and ran out of money? I wouldn't want to be forced to do missions for a week, because as a ranger/ch I can't get any good ones.

I had a house during my early days as a scout, but it seems that you have to visit the house more than twice a week... Who needs that kind of hastle. Mother always said that houses were for old people, not Rangers.
