Yes, as of now its definatly on its way, and on many occassions the devs have simply stated, wait for your revamp when asking for things. Im comfortable with saying this as its not realy breaking news and settles the community knowing that something is most certainly coming.
The revamp (as of now) is most definatly coming. When it will arive is uncertain because of the amount of work that needs doing on the CU, expansion and other areas but shouldnt be too long after the smuggler revamp. Infact design and ideas could start coming though anytime. Its up to the devs to communicate where they stand on this. But to answer you question: There will be a ranger revamp.

Ya same list here. I might put some time into a smuggler toon once the revamp comes. Squad leader was very tempting to me at one point but Ranger made much more sence in terms of how I had been playing. It was camo, crawling realy fast and a higher trapping mod that sold me.

One of my toons is a Ranger, the other is a smuggler. I'm gonna be in Revamp heaven this year, I think.

I sure hope so, but it still sounds like we will not be any kind of combat profession even as a specialist, in which case it is going to be very hard to sell. We have been basically left out from just about the beginning, and we can't even out hunt most of the so called combat professions since they can kill them much faster then we can. Our only real claim to fame in hunting is in harvesting, but most other players can offset that with food and bots, and the speed with which they can kill creatures. I have one toon that is solely a combat character and it can take out Ancient Bull Rancors long before any ranger has a chance to do it. So the revamp is going to have to be very very good, and if you are serious about everyone getting involved in the GCW then how you can keep us out of a combat profession is beyond me.
