Ok, so I had my moment of weakness. Now I'm going to sit back, meditate, and wait for the Force to tell me what's next. The CU has been on my mind for the last little while, and not in a good way. But then yesterday I logged on and played for a good little 3 hour set... And I had fun. Got buffed, went to Dath, butchered as much as I could. Hit up Dant, got killed by 2 Force Crystal Hunters. Went home to Talus and tried on my new Gunman's Duster, set up a few swords and energy weapons on my walls, remembered that my paintings rock (even thought they're the run-of-the-mill ones), and felt good.

Now I'm back, can't wait for the CU, can't wait to see what's in store for Rangers. And it gives me courage. Now... Question: What are YOU looking forward to post-CU???

ME: Capturing some of the Galaxy's Most Wanted, hunting the new Big Game, continuing on my path to becoming a Jedi Knight, enjoying fun times with my friends in-game. Bring it on!!!

So far I think most of the changes are pretty good. It brings back the good memories of when this game went live and the blast it was that you had to form up groups and go hunt big bad stuff, well actually to hunt anything just about at first. So participate as much as you can and give all the imput you can, especially as concerns Rangers.

Can't say that I've tried the beta... I'm still working on stuff in the current game.

However, I feel that I'm more hopeful than most when it comes to this. I think the game will rock when you have to group again. The best memories I have are when I've been grouped with my friends. This game still has a life and with Rage of the Wookies coming... I think a stay of execution is in order.

That said... I'm wondering how the Skill Point re-allocation will work. Can I just mix and match any of my Skill points? Or just my combat ones? Owen?

The skill re-allocation stuff will be getting talked about nearer the time and the devs are going over a few ideas of how to do it.

At present they are throwing around the idea that you can reset your combat skills and then have like a weak to decide what template you want.

I'm much calmer today and am really just looking forward to my three weeks of upcoming vacation at which time I will sit back down at my old friend the computer and be look onto the CU. There are some things that upset me in their current state but that I know will be ironed out. There are other things that upset me in their current state that will not be changed, but I am over this. Calcs thread helped me step back and just take a bit of perspective on things. While some of my anger started off as more of a joke, sometime I got more worked up over an issue than I originally planned. I do trust Owen and JB and am quite confident that any issues I have with the CU, that they too will share (and beyond). Moreover, I'm sure that if they can't have the appropriate changes made, then I would have had even less luck.

My pre-CU activities include dropping down to my planned post-CU ranger skill level (1/0/4/0) and filling up as much combat skill points as possible so that I can respec as I so desire. I am quite bored with swordsman at the moment and am looking forward to my future Carbineer template. I may pick up a bit of BH and SL to help my Carbineer ways and I will be keeping a tad of ranger because I find that even in RL, I miss not having /areatrack. I can't imagine not having it in-game

Has anyone else realized the expansion is getting released on 05/05/05? Kinda neat, although if it were one day earlier, it would be the most starwarsy day of them all - May the 4th be with you

I think RotW is one of those things that I lost sight of with all the "doom&gloom" of the CU. I'm stoked to get my free mount, and to visit Kashyyk, especially if its a kick bum adventure planet like Dath. Plus, I can't wait to see all those Wookie NPCs. I wonder if we'll be allowed to setup houses on Kashyyk, but I doubt it. AND I hope its accessible only through literal space travel, and not just a location selection on the "travel" window.

THINGS I'M HOPING WILL HAPPEN: 1) I hope the Jedi grind becomes more interesting, even if its longer. As long as they give me fun, I'll like it; 2) Possible Ranger revamp should be cool, if we get half of what's been promised to the other combat profs, we'll be having good times too; 3) New bad guys, new animals, new ships, ooooh baby...

I swear, I'm gonna get a cyber leg in memory of the time that someone knocked on a venom-filled arachne lair.

We were doing so well, too. We weren't going after spiders, and we were aggro'd by a group of the little buggers. When we finally finished them off, and someone just couldn't stop themselves and went after the lair. Well, wouldn't you know it, I had sat down right before he started doing that, so I could regenerate my pool damage, and I was mauled. I was the only fatality in the group, and from then on I have learned to never let my guard down, nor my camo .

OH YEAH!!! Cybernetics!!!

Man I can't wait to have some cyborg parts implanted into my Ranger's body [yes, now you may attack me for not being "natural", haha!!]. One of the awesome parts of SW is the cybernetics. And even if they are usually more geared towards dark siders, I'd love to enhance myself to the max!

Woohoo! Fake Episode II Anakin robot arm, here I come!

I'm looking forward to getting my first acid sword, hopefully crafted by a friend who I'm helping get to grips with WS. I'm also looking forward to taking up CM. Allways liked the idea of being a medic who specilised in combat but CM alone never really fulfilled that role for me, you just poisoned and waited. The new specials are much more combat like for me.

I'm also looking forward to exploring kashyyk and using my CM abilities to help take small groups of players on guided tours of each planet's landmarks and beauty spots. At least by doing that I'll feel ranger like.
