Since the CURB, I've been looking through the new weapons and weapon certifications. I'm generally pleased, and like the "Master Weapons" for each profession. However, Rangers don't seem to have one. Did I just miss it, or is it not there?

There is no master cert ranger weapon. And many ranger do not want there to be.
Try reading looking throe the board for topics with the word weapon or bow in the title, it has been debated more times then I care to count.

Speak for yourself, I want master ranger weapons, defense and weapons mods, andalong with less of a skill point sink and Im a happy camper.

I think there should be some sort of reward that a Ranger can get that signifies that you made it. It's a hard profession to master since it's not all about combat. And the components that are require you to travel with people moreso than alone most times to get access to the bigger creatures.

Though I support a Master Ranger reward, I don't think thing is necessarily should be a weapon. Maybe an enhance piece of kinetic armor based on racial restrictions to wear. Or something. It should definitely be Ranger specific. Enhanced harvesting or even some slight bonuses on creature reactions (ie, no aggro from creature that are red that are less than half your Ranger level or something).

I think it'd be great if you could get some bonuses to classes that supplement Ranger. (ie Master CH and Master Ranger, they work incredible together...or rather should).

Since playing a Ranger and enjoying it, I came to agree with one of the other Rangers on here. It's a "way of life". Master rewards should reflect beinga Ranger, not give you (us) the ability to act like a Bounty Hunter or something because of a weapon reward.

When you think about it, aren't almost all of the original professions iconic? You can find something on each of them in the Expanded Universe.

I miss being a Ranger. It was more than a profession, it was a virtual way of life. It wasn't for everyone. But those who took it up became family.

I ask you this, how did the antarian rangers fight and kill their pray? It even states that they were master sharpshooters.

Personally, I think they should have made the LD-1 Rifle a Master Ranger weapon. I know not all Rangers are riflemen, but that gun just has that Ranger "look", to me anyway...

LD-1 Rifle

I've always like the look of the Tusken rifle, and the very kinetic sound that it makes. The Tusken rifles I had commissioned pre-CU converted very very well post-CU (slightly lower absolute damage than my best LR's and T21's but very fast and so higher DPS values) so I'm enjoying them for more than just roleplay now. However, I agree, there is something very "Rangerish" about the LD-1 andI've just started the quest for mine.

For those of you that are interested, there are already walkthroughs for the quest on the "Loot and Quest" forum.

I am a Master Ranger/TKM, so a weapon or armor would be worth nothing to me....well I have been MRanger/TKM from the start, and havn't gotten any luv, so why would I expect things to change.

How about a rangercraftable PUP-like attachment that makes your rifle camo'ed, like ghillie-style, and grant a distance bonus, useable only by rangers?

For those of you that dont know this is the standard sniper rifle of the british army with a funny scope thing added and a droopy bit on the end of the barrel, it can also be found in counter striek as the dreaded arctic warfare rifle. And i am quite pleased about the use of some real world weapons as some of the new in game weapons (HK g36 = proton carbine) as it follows the original films way of sticking a couple of bits on a gun and calling it a blaster therefore making them different yet oddly familar.

In answer to your question I dont know the quest in game, but you can always sign up to the british army, and do some sniper training to get one, if you are REALLY desperate to get one.

If you live in america no doubt you can buy one down your local supermarket in the aisle next to the frozen foods section

In a similar vein I don't use a rifle very much since I got a carbine and a pistol that do similar damage. Rifle is just so 'group unfriendly'.

Forget a weapon, how about the Master Ranger box gives a boost to generalranged and melee speed and/or accuracy so that we get the benefit regardless of the weapon we choose to use.

I was TKM for most of my ranger career. I recently took up rifles and I'm quite enjoying it!
