Thread: So, are we all rich yet?
Since patch 17, I have sold......
wait for it.....
1 crate of Dath camo kits!
I had about 25k of Dathomir Leather in stock when the change came and so when out with a guildmate to Dathomir to help here finish up Master Pistoleer and collect a few of the other resources. I ran up about eighteen kits of eleven use camo and put them on the bazaar at the outpost for 5,000 each. All of them sold in just a couple of days. I've sent emails to a few of buyers asking how they were working for them, I'll let you know what they say.
Even though those running the Village Express on Dathomir may well be willing to pay the most, I next plan on working up kits for crafters on the starter planets and supply them tothe crafters that I do business with before putting them on the bazaar. I've also gotten the Kashyyyk camo schematic and made up a few dozen kits, but those I've just been giving away to other quester on Kashyyyk that I have run across (got my LD-1 night before last).
A couple of other things I have noticed about camo since the change. For one it no longer breaks at all when I am detected by a creature. Every kit of Kashyyyk camo I have used, effective or not, has lasted thirty-eight minutes. Also, camo no longer seems to be giving Scout XP. Mastscent on Kashyyyk is still giving XP equal to three times the creatures level, as always, but when camo'ed I see no XP being generated at all whereas before it granted XP equal to twice the creature's level. Lastly, has anyone noticed that you can now apply camo while mounted or in a vehicle? You can even camo the passengers in your speeder.
Good hunting and clear skies

I think it is a waste of time and effort to sell camo kits. If people want the full benefit of them, then they need a ranger to apply them. Besides, I'll make more money harvesting resources for people or tracking down MOBs and PCs for people than I will selling camo kits. Now, if a camo kit actually made you drop off the radar for a short period of time, then THAT would be worth it.
Sadly, I don't see that happening anymore. I can't imagine that camo kits -that can be used by anyone with no SP requirements -will be allowed to drop anyone off the radar.

Now that you've said that, they'll probably code it in.
