I'm a Master Ranger & a Master Rifleman. If I'm not mistaken (and I might be, i've only been back in the game for a week.) What armor can I wear? The Ranger grants recon certs, and the Rifleman grants battle certs right? Can I wear both, or just one type?
Thanks!

Its actually the other way around, Ranger = battle. As master of both Ranger and Rifle you can wear any combination of both types of armour.

You can use both but your best bet is the Battle armor, with the recon you'll have a movement hinderance. Though I'm not really sure how big of a problem that would be since you are a Master ranger, if you only have recon right now, play with it until you find a good deal on the Battle armor.

Thanks! The old composite must be assault then? I think I tried to put a piece of that on and it said I couldn't.

Yes. If you hold your cursor on it long enough you should get an option to respec it to a type you can use though.

Untrue: Rifleman grants complete removal of all hinderances from Recon armor if the armor is crafted correctly.
Recon is great for fighting NPC's, Battle is good for fighting NPC's and creatures, Assault is great against creatures.
Recon is stronger against energy attacks and weaker vs kinetic
Battle is balanced but has no real strengths
Assualt is strongeragainst kinetic attacks and weaker vs energy

Be careful though--if you buy sliced armor, you may end up with hindrances that Master Rifleman doesn't cover. I found this out the hard way the other day. The armor is so uber though that I can live with the minor hindrances.

once a stat hits the max cap of that resistance any additions to the resistance creates hinderances (and sliced armor usually adds 2-5% hinderances above what is negatable)
