Thread: Fellow Rangers... I am bored

I started ona quest for the three items I wanted most... a BARC, a KSE, and RIS armor.

I have my BARC and RIS now, and enough cash to grab any KSE on the market. And now I find myself wallowing in self pity... because I have totally nothing to do.

Having guiven up (for now) on my alt's crafting macro9 and finding the schematic I want, i have basically been showing off my RIS and getting missions for Akuans in hopes of striking it rich on loot.

I thought I ought to do Nym's themepark but really, what the hell kind of content is that, riding back and forth from place to place killing low level bad guys?

I thought I ought to do Necrosis, but my guild is still developing, and even if we had full templatedocs and combat medicsto help us we stillwouldn't have any Jedi to do it.

I though, I will do Etyyy, but no one is on right now and I am simply tired of soloing things.

I will do Kashyyyk... but where the hell is the fun in getting my Bolotar mount alone? Wait for some friends.

So... rangers... give me some content besides FS grinding. And Hebi... thanks for slapping me out of depression

Start a new toon on a different server. Different species, different faction, different gender if you want. Go for a completely different profession.

Then just tinker with it for fun. Sometimes you get to like them and they start to become your main tho...

Either that or go outside and look at the summerly goodness....

Hehe, I actually started that... my friend is on Gorath so I made a bounty hunter/slaver wannabe on there. But as to summer... it's 6AM in Florida, all I see is rain and hurricanes waiting for me...

They may say it is the sunshine state, but really they must have been talking about the beautiful winters.

ah yes, Florida.... /grin

One of those states where

if the weather doesn't burn you to a crisp
or blow you into a palm tree two counties away,
or dump half a million tonnes of mud in your pool,

if the critters don't bite you and poison you,
if the plants don't sting you or poison you,
and your diet doesn't make your butt swell up and swallow you....

it's quite nice really....

Sorry, have friends in FL and it seems every few weeks they're on the phone going "Oh, what a week we've had..." and I ended up ranting that at them one night when they were trying to get me to go over and study there for a few years.

Hope you didn't get humped to bad by Dennis?

LOL, seems every one has happened to me besides my butt swallowing me. But just the picture... ugh...

And as far as Denis, worst we saw from that was a few days of abnormally persistant thunderstorms. No power losses, where I am at least. I'm just praying that if we do get a bad hurricane it goes fast... I remember watching the tv and lisetnign to the radioa for news on Francis for weeks, and then another three days in the house waiting for it to hit... and three days when it actually was there... and then my car flooded and mildewed... lovely

I am in sorta the same state that your in mate, I have done everything I wanna do with my main....only thing left to do is grind for Jedi....and I do not grind well. I am not compalining, but everytime I help folks (guild or new friends doesn't matter) it seems I am get'n no xp, but I am have'n fun. So I have decided to go buy the full package thingie this weekend and start a second account. I recently made a new toon on wanderhome for the GRM, and I had forgotten how much fun it was to be a n00b. I like have'n all the basic skill's to play around with as I work on my profession. I am pretty sure I am gonna make a crafting toon, on my home server to complement my Ranger, and at some point may become my Ranger, or my Jedi unlock will become my Ranger....but I will allways have a Ranger in the house Jedi is still far away for me (just for that simple reason 'I don't grind'), so I am not to worried about that at this time. I have made up my mind....new account tommorow morning.

For entertainment i have been doing the following:

Finding new toons on Lowca and teaching them to hunt.

Exploring more of Kashyyyk.

Traveling to all the other planets where there is no one there and just hunting by myself at my own pace.

Decorating my Nova Courier with a shrine to hunting.

Crafting Yavin camo kits, naming them with beer names and placing them in the cockpit of my POB ships.

Engaging in the GCW, (and getting towel smacked by a dude named Ford Prefect)

Disabling/ Docking with ships for the off chance of neat loot.

Avoiding Theed

Helping guildies get jedi.

Running around lost in the corvette.

check out Ani_Cul's first post in this thread for help with the macro. This is an alternative to the draft scheme number macro.

Here's something i was doing yesterday that's fun. I just got my Decimator ship 2 days ago, and i'm decorating it as a small Imperial command ship. the first room with all the repair points i've placed a ton of ship loot in very organized way to look like spare parts for the ship. the next room is decorated as a command center with data terminals, and the rear room is like the captain's office.

True story...

I have a friend on Lowca named Ford Prefect. One day my Tailor account made him a crate of Synthetic cloth that i named "a Towel" and gave him the crate. He says he still has some of the towels, although apparently sometimes people ask him for a towel, and he gives them out to people.

Another fun thing to do is spot players that look like something else.

I made a Wanderhome toon yesterday, and ran into someone named Hyde. He looked just like Hyde on That 70s Show.

There used to be a Master Doctor on Lowca named Dr-Zoidberg, and he was a pink mon cal that was dressed just liked Zoidberg on Futurama.

I've also met Philip-J Fry and Kiff on Lowca as well. Kiff was a green Rodian, and Philip-J was a Human. both had similar outfits to their Futurama Characters.

I've also seen several players named after characters in the Anime, Inu Yasha. Most of them look similar to their characters from the series as well.

Another idea: take your P-Dart traps, go to Kryatt Graveyard and lure other players to group with you.

Root the the Ancient Dragon and when all group members start firing, leave battle. Then watch what is happening

You know, that's actually not a bad idea. I'm sure you've heard of the GRM that's being organised on Wanderhome. Yesterday I was levelling my character on there while the Eclipse server was down and it was really fun. If you haven't done it for a while you'll learn a lot about what it's like to be a newbie these days, and at the end you should be able to go to the GRM with something a bit more effective than a CDEF pistol (HebiII is at level 5 everyone!!! ).

Oreet on Wanderhome hit level 3 yesterday.

also, the new player quests in Eisely are pretty fun too, and the "Go to the bank" one gives you 75k credits.
