Thread: New Ranger Ability NOT Included in Patch Notes (needs a little testing)
I discovered today that they added a new ability, without saying so.
If you are Overt, and put up and HTFB (not sure if it works on the lower camps, need to test), go over to the camp control panel, select it, and bring up the radial menu. There is a new option where you can acquisition some faction perks IN THE FIELD, via a new menu.
Perhaps this is a preview of things to come? They mentioned new "factional base camps" that would include faction bonuses a while back. Perhaps there will be upcoming camps where you can purchase defenses and/or troops to defend them?
I didn't have anyone else with me, but I wanted to test one other thing: can just the owner of the camp buy perks there, or can other overts from the same faction buy them too?
This is a neat feature of that camp. Only overt people can req. items.
Best regards,
Easy-Ex
I havent tested this on anything lower OR higher than the Field Base, but its nice to know its in the HTFB, i almost crapped my pants when i found that myself..
Aramus,
I've been meaning to mention this to the Devs. Thanks for reminding me. I believe that its a bug - perhaps a bit of the code for an upcoming faction camp (just speculation on my part here, no plans that I know of) snuck through. ![]()

I was going to say what Delta already said. I bet it was not meant to be in available. Probably code for some other kind of camp we can't build all together. Just accidentally got put in, (makes you wonder what else got put in and if thats why all the problems) and is not fully coded so currently its showing up for all camps.
Only because they have been screwing with Rangers so much, I doubt it will be something we actually get. Or it won't be useful. The only faction perk that would be useful in the field is personal support.

That's my guess as well. ![]()
