Thread: Stink Bomb The Unsung Hero of Trapping
The moral of the story is, if you use states, use the Stink Bomb.
I made a factory run of stink bombs a few weeks ago to see if it would help me stick my blind and dizzy/stun (both from BH specials) better. Before I was lucky to get one in five attempts to stick. After trying stink bombs, my ratio was about, oh, one in five. From what I could tell, the trap had no effect on my success rate. Maybe I'll try again and see if anything has changed-- I still have six or seven crates left, and if nothing else, stink bombs can pull as well as any other trap.

On creatures, of course. None of our stuff works on npcs, except camo kits.
Yes, creatures. Iwanted to point out that I was usingBH specials since other traps give the same states, and wanted to avoid confusion. I'd rather use the specials than those traps, since they also do a little damage, I don't stop for 5 seconds to use them, and tossing a trap makes me lose two or three attacks. Aside from the opening trap (which could be a stink bomb if they worked), it's not worth my time to toss anything but a phec dart. And in some cases (krayt, gorax, albatross, GDK, etc.), standing still to lob more traps than are absolutely necessary can be fatal.

Lizards don't stink actually, their skin is cool and dry. Rodians on the other hand...

Correct. I think there needs to be some e testing done to see if it makes trap states work better...I doubt one will ever really notice, because if you get the stink bomb to hit, you must have a high enough TL to trap the critter with any other trap.
