Thread: This Englishman's Last Orders
It was an excellent run, and you did an amazing job. Thank you Owen for everything you did for us over the past year+. We all aapreciate it beyond words.
Well said that man. You've had a good innings and it's probably a fair time to set sail, blah blah, inserts other mixed metaphors as required.
(You are getting blue glowey status tho, aintcha??)
And *ollocks that that 'for that I've failed'. The revamp will come when it comes, and when it does it'll be as a result of the work all the corries put in to making it happen. You've done bloody well for us, gone to bat for the profession more than once, so *ollocks to 'failed' again...
Sounds like that RL stuff is all going swimmingly, eh. No wonder you've no time for us little people
All the best, sorry to see you go, stiff upper lip and all that. Gosh, the sun's bright isn't it...
hugs and kisses, etc.

You did a great job as Ranger Corr. Thanks for all the help during my stint as Scout Corr.
Now is the time to kick back and take naps...or in your case pass out.

As the others said thanks for everything Owen and cu around the boards.
You've been the corr for longer than I've been a Ranger, so that gives you ultimate respect in my books
Anyway, you've certainly set high standards for the next Ranger Corr (and on that note, let the speculation begin
You didn't fail us,SOE did.
You've been the beacon in the darkness for many of us. As I recall, I blamed you for my sticking around.![]()
Owen, there is no possible way that you can ever think or state in any way, shape or form that you "failed" us. Fact is, you were there fighting the good fight for Rangers and Scouts through it all, and we DID end up getting stuff out of it: group harvest bonus changes and CL benefits in the CU come to mind immediately. I salute you for all you've done, and all I'm sure you will continue to do for the profession. Many, many thanks to you for a job well done.

Best of luck on the RL stuff too. Sounds wonderful! If my company ever sends me over to our UK offices again, I'll gladly help you exercise that pint hand of yours, mine needs a definite workout these days! ![]()
One question... are there any Shauput on Blue Glowy Isle? Or did the leexard eat 'em all? ![]()
Owen, you've nothing to apologize for-- except for being too damn good and making it impossible for whoever comes next to measure up.
The fact is that you've contributed countless time, energy and focus into this profession and this forum, and the only thing stopping the game from making Rangers better is the development team and their superiors. (I don't blame the devs themselves really, but whoever is priorititizing the changes that are coming out. We've all seen how much of yourself you've put into Ranger being great and I think we all know that Ranger will change no sooner then when the developers decide they want it to.
and hey...how many other corrs have great stories about waking up in different countries after a night out with the mates?
anyway, I wish you the best of luck in school and in your job. If you put as much effort into everything that you do as you've put into this profession, I have no doubt that you'll go very far, if the fates are at all kind. And fortunately, you won't have to compete with Jedi's for attention in the real world.

If I'm ever in England, I owe ya a pint of the black. I probably owe you more than one...but I can be a cheap bastage sometimes.
