Thread: With the SE including Multi-person ships, is it feasable to be a Hunting Guide?
I think it would be good from a RP standpoint, if you get with a RP group that would work out.
I'm sure people will get their own ships, I mean what is Sony gonna do make you buy the expansion and say well you got the expansion and you have the capabilities to go into space... ohh but wait LOL you need to go run 100 rancor missions to make enough money to get one from a ship builder
I would expect them to give us a generic ship that can planet hop ![]()
Feasible, sure.
But what's stopping the same group from going without us?
Anyone bad enough to hunt rancors has enough money to get to Dath. Or can earn it quickly enough where they are to get there.
Cool idea, but unfortunately no one wants to go along most of the time.

Id love to see some planets only accessable via player shuttle.
What i mean by that is maybe conventional shuttle routes do not cover a planet for example dagobah. For players to visit and play on this planet they would need to either fly there themselves or board a multi person ship and be flown there.
I think this feature needs to be put in, i dont like the idea of just grabbing a shuttle to great hunting planets that you wouldnt expect to find a fully functional starport.
I fully expect them to add a couple of new planets in this expansion and would love it if they were only accessable to play flight.
On a similar note i would love to see some secret zones included where for example by navigating a dense asteroid field you fly down a large hole on it's surface, you are then taken to a cut scene of you landing and voila (sp hehe) you are in the bowels of one of those space worm things. You have aprox 30 minutes to stop, make repairs, hunt, explor and maybe even gather some loot before the jaw closes and you die
.
The secret zones wouldnt have to be large, just something that isnt a common place that involves ground based combat and exploration aswel as space.

Couldnt agree more. I would hate to be in the far reaches of space, within a desolate asteroid field, exploring a cave inside a meteor only to find 20-30 other players in there lol.

I think that space...rather than the wilderness is where im going to go when i need to be alone....at least until they give us player controlled space stations.
yeah that would suck.
However one thing im very happy about is i can take my friends with me in my ship, multipersonship.
I just hope they expand on this and enable the people who arnt piloting to walk around freely and enjoy some holochess etc.
It would suck if you just sit in the ship and cant do nothing, how boring will thatbe? your not flying so what are you doing? sitting around doing nothing.
If they make holo-chess work in the ship....then maybe.... in our HTFB too?
I wonder if passengers in a freighter will be able to use the gun turrets during battles?
Maybe so, it would give them a reason to actually fix something in our profession.
Hell yeah. Having passengers fire the ships weaponary in battle would be the perfect addition imo.
Freighters should be basicaly flying fortresses. Not in an offensive sense, rather specifically defensive capabilities. They should be able to defend themselves to a great degree and be hard to take down by the basic fighter however be week in an attacking regard. For example they should be slower than attack fighters, less manuverable, and have less attack minded weaponary such as missiles etc and seizmic charges.
The thought of possibly deploying seismic charges is making me.... uh... can't think straight... /drool

sorry, just had visions of the asteroid chase from ep2.
I agree about transports being well defended... how great would it be to zap some TIE's ala ep4?

Now you *know* even if holo-chess works in ships (which I doubt it will), there's not a snowball's chance in he11 that it'll be working in the HTFB. I mean really! What do you think we are, a *real* profession!? Ha!
I can just see it now "Please give us detailed reasons why we should give you holo-chess in your HTFB. Nevermind the numerous posts about this, we do not have time to go over them. And remember, you must list them out in the following format and if you forget one punctuation mark we will ignore the whole thing!"
