ok...while i could write up a huge thing like owen does, i wont. im novice ranger again, and im back to these boards. i also decided that our ideas needed some pictures...soi spent today doing just that. *edit* link wont show...its at http://www.dimension9.com

Although having a mount would sort abit of space out in the lodge. Id still like a fairly large thing 
. Not massive but enough to have 1 or two rooms. Perhaps open plan living room with a fire, then a raised hallway/room for other stuff like storage and a bed

yep, if we get these, im gonna set mine up and live in it too was thinking of a bear rug for the main room, but couldnt find any bear rug textures

Would you mind if i had a play around in worldcraft? see if i could better portray the ideas i have in my head? They wont be at all as good as yours but they could give you an idea what im after.

yeah, no problem. im actually sketching a high tech hunting bow (sound fimiliar?) to model soon.

We discussed the Cabin/ Hunting Lodge idea way back during the first few months of launch and one of the ideas that was floated around 
was that they be created Planet Specific (like the camouflage kits) and that we use a version of the current small structure models that are already used for instanced NPC POIs, such as the small domed huts on Tatooine and Lok.

They would be a permanent structure with light maintainance or use creature organics instead of credits.
They would take up lots, just as all placables do.
They would be the only player stucture that could be placed on the "advanced" planets.

yeah, some great ideas have come and gona and some nice art and visual stuff too. I realy hope we adventually get these, i think it would become a major part of every ranger's game.

wow, nice site.since owen has given more then his 2 creds in his other posts, ill start modeling some of his ideas. once we get nice pics and great, thought out ideas, lets call for TH to come and see (he admitted to havinga Ranger, so lets make him want the stuff we produce 
)

better then a vendor tent. Heck, it would even allow Rangers to use vendors on advanced planets, might even be a useful aid for Crafters, instead of trying to hunt down the resource, they can send a ranger to place it in the vendor.
tho IMHO i would make it about 2x as big. like a square 10-20ft on a side. More of a cabin type feel then a shack

made a sketch today of a cabin w/ a flat roof, porch w/ hides hanging over the railing, and a chimney (fireplace inside). About the same size as a small tat.
