Thread: On Being the New Ranger Correspondent

Hello all.I would like to tell you all how happy I am that I have been chosen the new Ranger Correspondent! I know the devs had a tough group of qualified candidtatee to choose from, and I think any of us could have fulfilled the role.
That being said, I would like to point out that I am not NRaas. He did a great job that I think, frankly, no one could live up to. We are all sad that he had to move on, but the game continues without him. I will, however, do my best to represent the wants and needs of the Ranger community.
For now I will let you know that my priority is get some communication going with the devs. I hope to have some solid lines of communication formed by the end of the week. A concurrent task will be to get a Top Issues list up and running (IN ANOTHER POST!). I know we have the SotP and the Outdoorsman, but I would like to tell the devs what our immediate concerns are.
I appreciate all the support you can give me.
Edit: I have been a Ranger for much of the time since launch. I started as a Scout a week or so after launch and got to Ranger as soon as I could make it. That took a long back in the old days sinceI was NOT a power gamer. I even picked a lizard character for the creature mods. I did not master Ranger until Septemberish, but I always knew I wanted to be a master Ranger above all else.
I started posting on the forums around the time they added the necessity of a password for viewing the forums. Since then, I became involved in the Ranger community due to the flame-wars that are the Galaxy Forums. I found so much useful information on the Ranger forums that I could not help but add my input when it was applicable, in the hopes of helping others.

Congrats again. I put in a good word with you. You see, I'm secretly Thunderheart's milkman- and I placed subliminal messages inside the bottle caps of his daily morning deliveries. 
I feel they made an excellent choice. There were many to choose from, and, as stated, any one of you guys would've gotten done what our profession needs.

I think it was a very wise choice to appoint you as the new correspondent, and I have no doubt that you can do as well and even better than N'Raas

Hehe, I know. I am just trying to generate some interest in the site. 13 people have signed up plus me. Only one other person has posted. Just wanting some activity =)

Just wanted to tell ya congrats Calc......
While i'm not a ranger (at present...who knows what the future may hold) I know you'll do a great job here and will help push the profession in the right direction like ya always do.
