There's also a bug that keeps the Master Ranger title up after you've mastered and dropped it. Your title will default to "Master Ranger" even though you're no longer master.

I've talked to several people on Kauri, thinking they were Rangers, and found out that they had completely different professions with no Ranger skill points at all. They said they mastered Ranger during the hologrind and the title won't go away.

Not sure if this bug affects other professions... and it doesn't seem to be well known. But I've come across at least 5 Master Rangers on Kauri who weren't rangers at all.

Another Bria'n here and I'm mightily ticked off...

I used to bump into maybe one new ranger every two or three weeks, if that often.

Now? Just doing a quick search gives me three on Coro and I know here are at least four on Dath having just got off that rock.

Why did I leave Dath? That wonderful gem of ranger friendly big beasties and solo groupies? I needed training. Not one ranger I spoke to tonight has Wayfaring III* "I'm only doing tracking" "I've got Tracking IV, it's all I need". When I asked one of the little charmers if he'd be going for the rest of ranger I got a reply along the lines of "What the f*** has it to do with you? Rangers a broken prof, no point doing it other than to track jedi"

Get my ass down to coronet, and I can't afford the ruddy training!! I don't believe it. Between travel, replacement armour, buffs and guff I've got through an obscene amount of credits in a week.

OTOH, at least I can go run some missions, get some creds and check the auction channel for whoevers paying for good stuff tonight.

Really disappointed to see so many dabblers, especially as some of them are like to start giving the prof a bad name. Hey ho, guess we're the afk entertainers of the game now.



* Still working on the 70k for IV, but had been hoping to get trained up to help cheer me up. Wht's worse is I had to dump the last of my CH to free up skill points for training, and am short of scout points becuase awaaay back I spent them on... novice CH. LOL Serves me right, eh?

Well for what its worth, i got this game 4 weeks ago, and i knew from day 1 i was going to go ranger.

But, ya i do see alot more rangers, and most of them are for tracking. I myself am probably going to focus on the tracking branch first as well, but for different reasons. Creature harvesting.. its how i make my credits. Probably going to end up staggering tracking and wayfering. (IE tracking 2, wayfayering 1, / or tracking 3, wayfarying 2) sometime until i max both.

Camping and trapping im NOT looking foward to again. lol. Oh well, the camps are pretty cool. I sure hope i find a use for them later other than to impress newbies when i go to town occasionally to sell hide, meat, or bones.

Oh my gosh! That bug is STILL around? I can't believe it hasn't been fixed in all these months since I've been away!

I smell a scam here too. If you use /scanarea it animates you as if you did AT. I wonder if those are grinders that kept the tag to scam other Knights out of thier money. Somehow that seems like justice of a sort...
