I must cry for but a moment. As of yesterday I'm one of the many whom get the swgclient_r error on the launchpad an alas cannot access the game. Woe to those such a smyself. Woe woe woe.
Granted, I have a second account on my other computer with whom I craft and such. My old Pent 700. I dare not load up Kiros to undertake combat missions due to the extreme framerate suckage.
Woe, a Ranger who cannot roam...and is but stuck at his desk typing.
Typing forever.
PS: Dear Sony, please fix my Launchpad.

Judging by the amount of devtracker threads I think SOE is listening.If its working on your crap computer and not your new one. Do this get the launchpad folder from your 700 and copy over the one on your new PC

I attempted to send myself the file from my other computer but unfortunately it's size makes it impossible. Going to look at other options.

Did you ZIP it first? Thats how i did it. And you only need the .exe I think

Launchpad Folder? Neither of my SWG Folders have a Launchpad Folder in them. Am I missing something?

Thats where it lives. See if thats not to big to be carried over. Again this might not fix it. But if its working on one PC and not another. Its worth a try since its how i fixed mine

Ok, just dug it up. zipped up and attempting to send. By the way, amazing how much more helpful the Ranger Forum has been than the Tech Support one. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks.

Seven IT certifications need to get used somewhere. The tech support forums have the answers but usually you have to dig through so many posts to find it that its tough.

Was unable to send myself the complete launchpad info. I tried everything described on the Tech Support FAQ. Tiggs sent me a few PM's about the situation but I haven't heard anything. I tried deleting the entire launchpad folder and reinstalled from the SWG setup disks. Instant chatted with a CSR who just gave me a ton of cut/paste answers.

The member of my guild who had this issue tool my launchpad.exe file and used it over his. He hadnt been able to log in for three days until we did this. I zipped the one file up to be less then a meg and emailed it and it fixed the problem.
