Ranger Archive

Our best guesses can only be based on the Ranger Revamp document, but that isn't even set in stone. Ranger + Jedi should be as viable as any support prof + Jedi, BUT know one can even guess until the changes go live (TC will get us close, but even then, things can change).

Aw crud Dave, that's orrible.

I've got two spare machines here but neither of them are SWG capable nowadays. They could 'just about cope' back around P10, lol. Otherwise I'd have been happy to help out.

Hope you get back in the make believe world of glowstick jigglers and stuff soon.

Thanks anyway Almagill, I had ordered a "desktop replacement" laptop, but after waiting three months for it to turn up, I cancelled it yesterday.

So, at the moment I'm thinking about building a water cooled rig, or sticking with the laptop idea (but made with components the company can actually get hold of!)

A very astute observation you made there. Yes, the laptop I ordered had an ATi X800XT Platinum Edition 256MB graphics card. However, that wasn't the thing holding it up, they'd already gotten a shipment of those in stock. The thing that the laptop company couldn't get a hold of were 7200rpm 100GB 2.5" SATA hard drives. I requested a pair to be put in RAID 0.

I know it will be more viable than Ranger as it is now + Jedi... which is what I was planning on doing...
