P dart snare can be broken. I dunno if it was something I did or didn't do, but really high level creatures - 85+ - have broken my p dart snare and come after my happy butt.
I tend to think I was not killing them fast enough. On one creature I did move outvisual contactfor a short, as maskscent had dropped and another Krayt was wandering around behind me. That may have been it. I was still in range, but lost target as I went over a dune. Droid was still engaging, poor lil guy got ate.
The second creature - level 96 Ancient Krayt - just plain old broke snare and came charging. I re-trapped, moved, re-trapped and dropped it, but ruined a run of5 Kraytsin a row without getting hit.
If y'all have the time and inclination, do some testing. Beware of large teeth tho.

Stealth patch?
I was doing the Etyy hunting trophy 'named MoBs' last night and notced that they were shrugging the state effect off pretty quickly.
OK, when I sa 'noticed' I mean, "Holy cow, that mouf is still chasing me despite eating enough p-darts to floor a startcruiser'.
There were only CL45-50 so not uber types.
Tried on some rats today and yup, they are stuck for a few moments, up until I start dealing damage again, and tehn they're off and running once more.

yes last night or the night before i killed 30 in a row hardly ever broke and when it did it was due to my partner Kd'ing the Kryat by mistake. TODAY 1 out of 5 would break and come after me. no big deal just shoot another P-dart and say "Stay boy Stay"
but yeah i noticed this as well

It is imperative to add the stay-boy-stay, otherwise bad mojo will fall upon you!

For some reason, if the target loses line of sight with you, the trap also breaks.

I can second this. At a moment of temporary insanity, I decided to try to duplicate the "Solo an Ancient Krayt With Nothing More Than My Gun And P-Darts" feat. I had a nice rhythm going (after hitting with the dart, of course) of Aim-Sniper-Head-Rinse-Repeat with my rifle. Unfortunately, one of the keys near those is my Cover command. I kind of accidentally hit that cover key, and the moment I went under cover, that krayt just headed in my direction immediately and proceeded to use me as chewing gum.
The P-Dart cannot save you from your own mistakes-found that one out the hard way!

I mostly notice the trap breaking if anything else aggro's the creature.
Got chewed on by an Ancient last night because a bantha decided he wanted in on the action as well.
Kashyyyk is a whole nother story. The only thing i have found there that it P works on is the Katarn.

From what I've noticed it's not 100% guarantee. I know that it does break on a KD or loss of line of sight.
