What would the rest of you say to being able to requisition the Swamp Trooper armor from the recruiters if you are a Master Ranger? The Swamp Trooper armor is pretty cool looking rigt along with the Scout Trooper armor and I think it'd be a nice perk to being a Master Ranger and an Imperial. It would be less protective than the regular Stormtrooper armorandit would cost less than the standard Stormtrooper armor. To make up for the lack of protection it wouldhave some bonuses to swimming speed and camo that comealong with wearing the full set.

Personally I would like to see Master Rangers get something exclusive from the Empire. It would help to make Master Rangers stand out in a crowd and would help to promote a more "Star Warsy" feel to the game. So if you like the idea or hate the idea I'd like some feedback. Hopefully in the future they will give we Imperials more oppurtunities to dress like the Imperials we are.

well, personally I dont think stormies can swim very well in star wars. second, I think we need to vanish from compass when concealed. or at least we turn into yellow dots so that we blend in with the animals... and especially so we can surprise someone in pvp

Yes I think we should have it. Scout armor at Master Scout, Swamp at Master Ranger.

And what would the Rebel Master Rangers get?

Anyone can have the camo dusters, and the helmet you get from Wedge in the theme park is more for looks than protection.

Not a bad idea, but let's make it equal across the board.

I have to admit that Ive always been wondering if SoE will introduce class specific armor into the game. Have our own set of unique class armor would certainly be very cool.

If this does ever get to hapen then I think ranger armor should indeed give camo bonusses in PVP !

Some more variety would be nice I agree, it seems a shame that you can change your initial character appearance is soooooooo many ways, then you all hide behind the same Ubese (or whatever)armour helmet.

It's a cool idea, but there'd have to be something equal for every other class, as well as the rebel faction.

Equal? Rebel scum. Yourebels are supposed to be the misfitsof society, while we Imperial Rangers work for the might of the Galaxy. We have the credits of a a Galaxy to back us, o\not to mention slave labor camps. Rebels have to scrape by for whatever they can get.

All that aside, it is really bugging me to here rebel players insist on equality. There isn't equality in real life and there sure as heck isn' t equality in the books and movies concerning Star Wars. And the current state of affairs in SWG is a complete misrepresentation of that universe.

I like the idea of faction prizes based on rank and on mastery of level.

And just how similar is this game to the movies, really?

An MMORPG *needs* to have equality or no one will play the crappier side.

And don't say "Well, theirs more Rebels than Imperials, and Imperials get the at-st!". The reason this is so is because of: Very high FP cost for non human, crappiness of AT-ST, and before the nerf, the fact that using an AT-ST was deemed lame and overpowered by many.

So, if Imperial Rangers get something like this, I would expect Rebel (and maybe even Neutral through a quest) to get a similar item.

I'm all for giving similar things to the Rebellion and the neutral-through-quest idea sounds legitimate. I just don't know what the Rebels would want that is similar to the Swamp Trooper armor. If any Rebels have an idea post them here.

for rebels we give them a humbaba hide, so they run around looking likea humbaba. you cant tell the difference and even when you target them it says "a humbaba'"
