Thread: New Non-holo Master Ranger

Yay, me!
It took me five months, but I hate grinding so the mayority of the experience was gained on the job, so to speak, mostly hunting with other guild members.
I plan to stay as Master Ranger, but will probably try other professions out, skill points allowing.
I *might* go Master CH as well but would have to loose novice medic and pistoller fan shot.
This is a great forum btw, reminds me a bit of my former home on the web, The Rangers Glade, in that the posts are quite often constructive even when being critical of aspects of the game.

EDIT : Five months includes the time to get Master Scout, first.

Congrats, i'm not too sure there all that many non holo'd Rangers left.
Proud to say i'm one too and did it much the same as you, very little grinding, merely some OJT.

I'll have to admit that I took up Ranger because the holo made me do it, but I've enjoyed being a Ranger. I've tried to learn the profession and not just grind xps for it. My first character is a Master Doctor / Trickshot, so keeping Ranger to harvest my own meat makes sense. Plus I already have a couple of regular customers that I supply meat to. I really didn't havea direction I wanted to take my character at first, except for Fencer. So I don't think I'm going to open any more holos.

I guess I'm rare too, I started out shooting for Master Ranger.
After just over a month of SWG (no grinding, just a lot of time to spare) I finally made it.
I'm also going for Master CH and plan to keep both for a long time, my holo said Armorsmith.
I'm not sure why, but for some reason I always end up a ranger in every game.
Maybe I just think ranger is a cool profession.
