Let's say a player has:

1000 hide

1000 meat

1000bones

Allof them have 900+ quality. How much does each one sell for? Anyone know?

All the PCs who buy hide/bone/meat now usually pay 3 credits per unit. However, fidning someone to take the meat may be a little tricky. I suggest if you find someone that will buy all 3 of them, to give them a discount so make them more interested.

I sell for 3 cr per unit accross the board. Regarding meat, I collect only avian since it's a component for advanced medical crafting. These I sell for 3 cr/unit as well.

Another good suggestion is to strike up a relationship with a medical professional. Offer supply them with meat whenever you have it to receive special medical attention;say a boost in the line at the med center or they will come to your camp and heal you. I offer some of my structure slots to a resource barron and in exchange i get all the metal and polymer I require for my Field Bases and Advanced Traps.

Errrrm , you guys are getting burned . I sell bone and hide for 5 per and I sell avian meat ( it's 949 quality from a tough planet ) for 10 per .

I sell it all on the bazaar , in bundles of 500 .

So bone , for instance I sell a bundle of 500 for 2200 cr. or 2500 cr. , hide the same thing and for Avian meat I bundle up into a stack of 200 and sell for a big fatty 2000 credits . It never lasts for more than 48 hours where I sell it .

So how come you guys are getting such low prices ? The bone and hide I have heard selling for 3cr. per but not that avian meat , if you find a high high quality a.m. the docs will pay out the behind for it . I haven't heard anyone complain about my prices yet but if they do I'm prepared to instruct them to grab the first flight out to Lok and harvest their own .

Now , when they fix the CH profession so that not everyone and their grandmother can run around with their pets and kill the hardest MOBs on the planet without breaking a sweat and harvest as well as we can with NOVICE scout , well then we might start making some real money . We'll have to wait and see ...

On Eclipse, I'm selling 900+ OQ quality hide/bone for 5cr each, 800+ OQ for 4cr each, under 800 OQ for 3cr each. Never last more than a day in the bazaar.

Why? because you get 14 meat from every newbie mob you kill which takes a total of 1 second. Hang around in the newbie area for half and hour and thats around 300 meat, since the quality of meat isn't connected to the difficulty of the animal you don't deserve anything higher than 3c per unit for killing animals that die in one shot. As for meats, bio-engineers use the stuff by the stack loads, the same with skins and bone since almost all of our components require one or more of animal materials in quantities over 20 usually for a single item.

lol all one deserves is 3 per i think i will hang on to it and see what happens with the prices

i would prefer to destroy it than to sell to people that think all i deserve is 3 per resorce that i have harvested

as in the previous post i have 30k hides collected on my way to marster ranger

in that same time i have made over a mill so your telling me all what i have collected in 5 weeks is only worth 90k why bother selling it for that mater why even bother to collect it

I have heard arguments before on prices.

Here is my pricing scheme.

If all the stats are within a few hundred of each other and the overall quality is 500 or more, then I put a stack on the bazaar setting the price at 1cr per 100 quality, with the number in the stack getting as close to 3000cr as I can.

So if I have 600 hides with a overall quality of 700 and the other stats within a few hundred of this, then I will put a stack of 400 up for sell on the bazaar for 3000cr.

I have never failed to sell a stack for 3000cr using this method.

Is it high, I dont know.
Is it low, I dont know.
Does it ever fail to sell, not yet.

So put up what you think is fair. If you have good quality hides/bones with a overall rating over 900, then put a stack of 300 up for 3000cr. It will easily sell.

There are also the Chef's out there guys.... BUT, a chef won't waste their money on crap... they need high Flavor or if the item doesn't have flavor (like bone) high over all quality.

below is something I've posted on scout/chef boards...

------

"The Value of Flavor"

There seems to be a very small nich that isn't being filled right now. That is the commodity traders of the game. Perhaps this is because there are FAR too many different types for the quantities... I'm not sure. But after looking up and down the commidities on the bizaar over this past weekend I found a HUGE lack of quality products... Most of the items listed were complete junk. 3000cr for a stack of 300 meat with a flavor of under 400? You have to be kidding...

Many of the items listed on the bizaar are in horrible quantities, or of such poor quality it's useless. Perhaps this is a result of poor implementation of skills, I'm not sure, but an expert Surveyor should be able to pull better minerals out of the ground then someone new to the skill. (not just increased quantities with experience)

In my case I'm a Ranger. I can harvest a ton of meat/hide/bone, sure. But the quality of said resources are just as crappy as that novice scout. (again perhaps just crappy implementation)

Perhaps it's just a matter of time that people will realize that crafters will, in fact, pay a LOT of money for large stacks of quality minerals... How often do you see meat or other components with a Flavor of over 900?? How many chefs really have the time to run all over the place looking for high quality componets?? Chef's need such a wide variety of different components it would be insane to think that they will be able to collect all the assorted pieces of a dish themselves. I think other crafters would agree... if they could get their hands on high quality resources they would pay over 5cr a unit... Sure, some resources can be flooded... many times minerals can be extreamly plentiful, but it's a lot harder to find and get a large stack of great meat or hide... since you can't just setup an extracter to get it.

Hopefuly all those aspiring scouts will notice that sometimes it pays off to look at that stack of meat and hides and notice what qualities it posses... Medics love items with Potential Energy over 600, and Overall Quality over 600... Chef's love items with a flavor over 800, and if the item doesn't have Flavor, Overall Quality of over 800...

(crossposted to Chefs/Scout)

Don't bother charging any more than 2 - 3cr per item in a stack.. only the newbies/rich people will bother purchasing it... but on the flip side... charge more for the nice stuff...

Deserves?

Don't confuse morality with a free market. They are 2 seperate things. This type of price fixing creeps into all of these games. People try to control it, but it rarely works.

If I charge 100cr per unit, and people buy it, great! If they don't, I adjust my prices accordingly.

Lets not get morality into this. Afterall, its fake money in a virtual world. Trust the free market, it always wins anyway!

I only spend my time killing MOBs that I know give either A) great quality resources or B) a ton of resources .

I know I can sell the good stuff for a great profit , for crafters looking for quality and I know I can sell the junk in bulk for a bit less to people who just need it for grinding .

Works for me , good luck to all of you
