Not absolutely sure since I usually just get exp by camping normally, no grinding necessary. But I think that it's around 10 minutes. Less if you actually have people in your camp healing, dancing, crafting.

Once I got the field base, lots of people send me tells asking to set one up so they can use the crafting station. It's great.

camps stop gaining exp at 15-20 minutes, or in the case of lots of people and healing much sooner.

It really depends on how you camp. If you are by yourself and do nothing, then probably 20-30 minutes (don't know exactly). If you have multiple guests, craft, forage, fish, heal, etc.you gain xp faster. Someone else may have some more exact numbers but this is a good reason why people have a hard time understanding camp xp sometimes.

I'm 7k or so away from qualifying for Frontiering I. I have to head back to town to train some other stuff (Tracking IV, Advanced Trapping I, Rifle Special Abilities III, and Sniping III), and if it's not gonna take forever, I figured I could sit around in some camps and read a book or something and get enough XP to qualify for Frontiering I.

I'm grinding my Frontiering XP too, so I have a LITTLE insight:

The # of people in your camp exponentially increases your XP, and I believe the time-til-max, but I'm not certain about the 2nd part. So, camping on your own = little XP in a short amount of time, while camping w/a group = more XP over longer periods of time.

The onlyhard #s I have to offer is that a I know Basic Camps, when it's just you, hit max XP in just under 10 minutes - I don't think it's even 1k XP,either. ...I've found it's actually better XP-wise to drop a Field Base, even if only to pull a pet or 2 - the higher the camp lvl, the more XP you seem to get.

When I was grinding camping i found the amount of time for each camp increased. When i was a master scout I could sit in a multiperson camp for about 10 minutes and get full XP but as I got new Ranger tents the time increased to about 25 minutes for the second Ranger camp. Also, the patch that gave survival xp for fishing and crafting was in place when i was getting my last frontiering box and when I was making more camps to use if they werent "Amazing" I just crafted it in practice mode and got a little more XP for those crappy camps. You do waste a lot of resources but it might help you lvl a little faster.

The amount of time to get the full XP from a camp is never fail at 27.5 minutes with just you in the camp and no wounds or damage. Why do I say that? Cuz I've tested, tested, tested, with all of the camps. I do have wayfaring IV. Also, cuz I've picked up camp at 25.1 minutes and did not receive full XP all of the time. I have always, 100 percent of the time, received full XP at 27.5 minutes.

Now, pay attention, because I'm going to be a bit crypitic here. You'll have to test this on your own. It's something that was intentionally put in place, but if everyone figures it out, I fear it may get nerfed. E-mail meto discuss this further if you wish. Okay. Every additional being in your camp cuts IN HALF the time it takes to get full XP. The halving is cumulative. So, you and one extra being will take approximately 14 minutes to get full XP. You and two beings will take approximately 7 minutes to get full XP, and so on. I'm not sure if there is a minimum time a camp must be up to get full XP, but there are limits to how many beings can fit in one camp. There is a way to cut camping time while you solo camp. Just wish I would have figured it out or someone would have told me before I hit wayfaring IV.

That's it. Not saying anymore. E-mail me if you wish. [email protected]

25 minutes minimum (30 minutes will get you 5 moreexp at the end of the time curve thatmight notmatter much to you). 2 peeps is 15 minutes and you can get above max if a doc is healing wounds or a surveyor is depleating and then regaining action. If you have enough people for less then 5 minutes it seems that you must at least have one up for 5 minutes regardless.

Can you tell that I have done this... a LOT?

Ha ha! ROFL. *sigh* I meant frontiering IV in my last post. Wow. I kill myself sometimes. Er...would you believe...bad day? *grin* Ahhh! And I even wrote it twice! Great. *sigh* The point of my post was, you can cut the time it takes to gain full XP to about 7 minutes soloing, sorta.

Most max out between 23 and 26 minutes. The higher camps have higher times. At least to my experence and timing. I think the HTFB takes a little longer.

I don't know if i'm imagining it, (which is very possible) but I find that if I heal wounds in my camp, it greatly shortens the amount of time I have to sit there to max out the xp. But I just realised that this is obviously useless to you if you don't have medic skills if it is true...

Based on XP and crafting resources, high-quality camps are best for soloing the Frontiering skills (save your hides, bones, and metals for field bases when you're out with groups or near PvP cities). 25-30 minutes will get you just over a 1000 xp. I use the downtime to craft traps and camps while healing. When I had artisan skills, I always found a good survey spot to set up camp.

High Quality Camp kits and Field Base kits both cap at 25 minutes. Not sure about the others.
.. and this is by yourself, sooner if people visit.
