Thread: Ok I'm tired of Huurtons

Another Master Ranger and myself collected 400K of Dantooine Wooly hide in about 2-3 days. We did have some guild help but about 30k of it at most. We hunted Huurton Stalkers until we were cross eyed, lol.
Lets hear some of your stories!

trying to kill enough corellian butterflies to make my first camo kit u can never find what ure looking for when u need it the most lol

Well, since the spawn is broke on Rori (Chilastra) hunting enough timid vir vurs in random spawns around the cities to get a decent amount of avian meat...wah!

Heh, on Wanderhome, there hasn't been a good Herb Meat spawn in quite a while and most fo the Docs were running out of meat. Well, there is finally a good Herb Meat spawn...on Rori!

oh that's just plain evil. Rori isn't great for hunting usually...now that it's broken, that's just evil.

Trying to master pistols.
I live on Talus, could get missions close to home, from a "job market" terminal, for 8k - for Torturs.
The best missions were 2 bull and one regular. The worst spawned no bulls, a reg, a meager and a baby (blech).
When all was said and done, I supplied 3 tailors with enough leathery hide to last for a good long time. Not to mention I still am using bones collected then. And I sold tons of meat at like 3cpu.
And people whine how tough it is to make money.

Hehe, just getting back into 'discovering' Talus having avoided it like the plague after doing the sludge panther thing up there awaaay back.
It's a fun planet, eh?
Talus avian is nice just now, herb is good too. Leathery hide drops of pretty much everything. Hardly anything other than NPC's will kill you when incapped AND you can still get out in the wilds. Just me, the gulginaw and the wild spawns of tweety boids.
(still want one of the little purple parrot loooking ones as a pet tho)

A dancer friend had arasp as a pet. It was from a BE, had decent stats, and would fly around the cantina and poop on people who did not tip.
Of course, knowing how I feel about rasps, I was sad when the rasp was soon relegated to things that went away. I wanted to make rasp cordon bleu but never got the chance.

and Talus rox. Aside from a few DB'rs, the planet is usually underpopulated and has spawns everywhere.

I agree, I started out on Talus and pretty much Mastered Ranger there running missions out of Nashal. Then a few of my friends started playing so I moved off to tatooine( I have no idea why, i hate that planet). Met some people building a city on Talus so I moved back there joined thier guild city fell moved to corellia didn't like it, moved to Dantooine and went lag crazy. Now after a few months of the guildmembers all living on different planets we have finally moved back to Talus and have a nice city down by the ocean. I'm glad to be back on Talus after so long, I really did miss it.

Shubacca's got himself a GREAT location for his Talus city. Any Lowca Rangers out there should really stop by, the ocean view is great. 
Plus it's about 1km from the Erran Sif POI, so if you're like me, and like to go Loot Hunting on Talus, it's a great starting point.
Personally, the only hunting i do on Talus is typically loot hunting. There's so many good POIs there:
Erran Sif Bunker
Binaryre Pirate Bunker
Detainment Center (filled with Rebels)
Weapons Depot (filled with Rebels but the elevator is broken)
Lost Aquilash Cave
Aa'kuruan Champion's Cave
Typically if i want to go loot hunting, i'll buff up, head to Aakuran cave (hope it's not being camped) then head to Erran Sif, then detainment center, then binayre bunker. then i'll head to the weapons depot and the lost aquilash cave. by the time i finish there, the Aakuran cave should be just respawning, so i can head there again, and just keep running that circuit until the buff wears out, or i get over-powered in the last room of the Erran Sif bunker.

try collecting 100k hide with novice scout, now THAT is a challenge
