"is there one for camping?"

There is no way to disband a camp using the command line, so macro camping is quite tedious and far less efficient than regular camping.

However, you can look up other attempts at macro camping using the Advanced Search located at the bottom of the forum page. Use the obvious terms: "macro" and "camp" to get results.

JBMat apparently has no clue there is a "peace" commando and a "drop combat queue" commando which can easily be used once you need to heal/change target/something else. Use it all the time when I need to interrupt one of my longer macros.

Yes, there is a peace "command" and a clearcombatqueue "command". I know about them.

Peace may work. I will check and see if itclears trap throw commands. I sort of doubt it, but will give you the benefit of the doubt.

Clearcombatqueue does not clear the queue of trap commands. Rangers know this, and have been reporting this for quite some time. It clears the queue of all but traps commands.

The traps not clearing was discussed in the scout forums. Rather than rehash it, go find it. Trust me, you got 10 traps queued, you will be tossing 10 traps before you can heal, regardless if you try and clear the queue. Has something to do with the left arm/hand, which is not the combat queue.

Still, rather than relying on macros, I will be puncihing keys and killing stuff. Participate rather than spectate. I also usually know my targets, and know what traps will be good to use, and which ones won't. I don't waste traps that won't work, no more than I shoot weapons that won't work on my prey.

And yes, if you try and harvest a resource that the critter doesn't have, further harvesting is stopped. While I do use two macros to harvest, I make sure I am using the correct one. I really hate to get hide when I wanted meat.

"Clearcombatqueue does not clear the queue of trap commands."

It doesn't? I've never used the command myself.

I guess, I should add that one to the SotP bug list.

Hey Tack,

In my experience, if you try to harvest something that doesn't exist on the creature, it won't harvest again. Very annoying.. Something that does essentially what you're talking about is /harvest (or /h) which will harvest something at random. I did this when all I cared about was the XP and I destroyed most of the materials anyhow.

I thought this was the case, and started to mention something about it in my original post, but wasn't 100% sure.

NRass... for shame. Brisc has it on his punch list, or I am pretty sure he does.

My theory is that "drop combat queue" clears only the "right arm" queue, which is the weapon queue. As traps are for the left hand, they continue to be thrown until the commands clear, then you can shoot your heal into the left arm.

Only a theory, but so far, it has yet to be disproven. Is weird, but possible.

Also, the jury is still out on "Peace" command. I tried it, and all my 5 traps were still thrown. I may have been slow on the peace - it's not macroed or a hot key - but I will investigate it more.

And on that nice camping macro - by the time you get done typing it, debugging it, making sure it works right - good Lord you could master Ranger twice.

Just go camp and have fun doing it. Macros are still for morons.

Off the top of my head I can't remember clearing the queue ever clearing the traps. In fact, they still have that bug where "Throw Trap" never leaves the queue. But once you choose to throw, it usually throws regardless.

"In fact, they still have that bug where "Throw Trap" never leaves the queue."

Now, I have seen that one quite often. That appears to be a visual remnant left on the screen, rather than an actual command that remains in the queue.

I'll add a note about that one as well.

Are you all aware that peace and the dump queue commands are already hotkeyed?

Ctrl-\ is peace, and

Ctrl-bksp is dump queue.

I use these ALL of the time... I tend tospam my AimedConcealShot macro (Shift-F11 on my set-up) and just watch. If the critter charges, I stand, dump queue, switch to my spraystick and start spamming warning shot. This usually makes it go away after a shot or three. Lately I've been adding Phecnacine Dart into the mix, with good effect (when it hits).

Theres no Macros for camping?

I disagree.....

You will need to add something like /sti /stand or a action to stop from getting booted off all you will get a lot of spams with this macro saying "you already have a camp set up elsewhere" so turn off the Spar intent messages. This macro is good for 24 camp kits, and with camps lasting 1 hour this is a 24 hour macro. Alter it by puting in some action commands to stop from gettting booted.

Also you may want to see if there is someone macroing a entertaner char also, so you both can get alittle better exp. i.e. you watch them and they stand with in your camp dancing. Also you want to put camp in a area where alot of ppl run thru the more tru the more exp for that camp set.

this Macro does loop so it will put first camp setup then pause 5 sec the try to open the next this is where you start getting the you have a camp setup message. The camps will auto despawn on his own.

-slot 00 is for the macro itself, so it loops

-fill all other slots with camp kits

-you can throw some other commands in there such as

/start <songname> or /forage... you get the idea

Attitional Notes:

1) I used the same macro I just put this at the end for some reason the sit and stand comand does some kinda game action and i LD less.

/sit;
/pause 1;
/stand;

2) Also, if your going to use the camp macro and want to optimize the time, use the combat disband. Hers the deal your camp gets disbanded whe you enter comat right. So set your self up around lowlevel mobs, 20 minutes is the time it takes to reach max xp for a camp but 17 min is optimum, 20 min get you 625, 17 get you like 550 or there abouts, so set your set a /ui action cycleTargetOutward and attack macro your camp will shortly disband after you enter combat, now it takes a minute or so for the camp to fully disband, so some people have been using a patroling pet to make it so you can folow the pet and move away from the location about 60m or so ferther if your inclined, the reason being once it says disbanded you just get decent distance away and then you can redeploy with out waiting for it to fully disband. I dont know if this makes any sense to you guys, but I will locate the macor I seen for this it works and its better than having to wait an hour for you camp to disband and only getting 600xp per hour its better to get like 1800 to 2000 per hour, and some people have said that tumbling and heealing in camp maxs the xp quicker so even more xp per hour is better.

Note: I didnt come up with this macro or the additional notes, but they do work.....

Coming from a ranger who was incapped (dbed?) by a rasp, that statement holds no water. Learn how to use macros effectively then maybe u can appreciate them.
